Novel Review: Do you like mystical creatures? Then The Time Paradox is the book for you. In The Time Paradox Artemis Fowl, a 14 year old super genius, who lives in a manor with two younger brothers, named Myles and Beckett, has a mother that is sick and none of the doctors know what to do for her. So he calls on his friend, Holly, an elf. They then travel back in time to find the cure for his mother’s sickness, an animal that Artemis had killed when he was ten. Then just as he is about to safely get the animal away from his younger self, he is forced to give the animal back, and try to get it somewhere else. But right after he gets the animal, Holly is abducted and sold to someone that wanted to kill her. Then a pixie named Opal Koboi went back through the time stream with them and got out early. Next, she mesmerized the Fowl family that was at the Fowl Manor to get the animal, but she was outsmarted once again as the animal slips from her grasp as she falls into oblivion. I thought that the book was like the book before it in the series, The Lost Colony. But, I still want to know what happens next because you get left wondering what will happen next, and what happens next is a whole new novel.
