Note from the Pastor :
Dear Chapin Presbyterian Church,
These are three middle verses of
the hymn I Love Thy Kingdom, Lord that
focus on the Church, the bride of
Christ. The words capture the elegant
beauty of the Church that Jesus bled
and died for. He gave Himself up for
her. I believe that any Christ centered
spiritual life that happens, happens in
the local church. I love to see lives,
rooted in Christ, that are learning and
growing in grace in the local church. It
is my tremendous privilege to be able
to serve the Lord’s Church to that
end in Chapin at CPC. I want to
thank you for your warm reception
of my family and me. We are beyond
thankful for the way God, in His
providence, has brought us to you. It
is our desire to learn and grow
together with you. We pray that God
will continue to use CPC for His
glory and the growth of His kingdom
in all the earth.
With great gratitude,
—Scott
I love Thy church, O God:
her walls before Thee stand,
dear as the apple of Thine eye
and graven on Thy hand.
For her my tears shall fall,
for her my prayers ascend;
to her my cares and toils be giv'n,
'til toils and cares shall end.
Beyond my highest joy
I prize her heav'nly ways,
her sweet communion, solemn vows,
her hymns of love and praise.
ALL IN THE FAMILY
From my rehabilitation perch here in Southwoode I send hugs to each of you! I have missed you and all
that is going on so very much. One thing I know is that the CARE Calendar is a most wonderful thing! You all
have overwhelmed me with your kindnesses, cards, notes, calls and meals; oh my, those meals have been wonderful. The out-
pouring of Christ's love through you has been a testimony to all who know me! Go family!!! Hopefully dear Dr. Loging will set me free towards the end of March! The CARE Elder this year is Jim Fuller and our Deacons are Craig Malone, Mark Morvay and Billy Smith. If you have
any questions grab one of them. I send special thanks to Judy McMillin who has been overseeing the name tag table; a great challenge under ordinary circumstances has been even more challenging. Thank you for helping in that area. But I am missing those hugs!
With so many visitors coming I would invite each of you to be conscious of inviting them to Sunday School and to even walking them to the class with you. Each of our visitors are special gifts from the Father to us and we want Him to know they
are special to us, too. Hoping to see you later in March, oh please God! —Helen

The senior project this year is to purchase a lifesize
outdoor nativity scene for the church. The cost of the scene
is $1200 and we would like to include all members of the church if
they would like to participate. There is an envelope on the Senior
Activity Table in the hall outside of the parlor and each Sunday
School class will have an envelope as well. We hope to have the
funds to purchase by August. Thank you for your participation
with this project!

Sunday Night Series The series is mostly to get us thinking about what we have in Jesus
during our lifetime. Often, we immediately think of salvation, which is
wonderful and a huge gift from God that we have through Jesus, but
we also have many other things in Christ. We will cover salvation
first, then get into other aspects of a life in Christ.

Your children will bring home an activity sheet each week with an overview of the lesson and some family activity ideas to use to reinforce the truths they are learning. There is also a FREE APP: Bible Studies for Life. We pray that your family can use these tools as we together ‘train up’ His precious children.
The Good News Club will meet for the last time on March 5th, with a dinner at the church that night. Please let Jackie know if you can provide a homemade dessert. Bring it to the church by 5:30 PM. Continue to pray for the kids and families we have ministered to this year.
