He was a college professor in California. Dressed in the clothing of a 1683 Austrian soldier, Wayne showed on a map how Islam and Jihad spread across Africa, the Middle East, and into Europe. He discussed how western nations have unknowingly help spread Jihad. Wayne also gave an example of how Jihad came to Central Texas (the killings at Fort Hood). Many scholars define Jihad as a violent holy war against nonMoslems. Many in the Moslem world refer to these people as infidels. Wayne believes that the way to stop jihad is found in his book, Vienna’s Last Jihad Happy Bucks($60) Many members were happy to be Rotarians. Malcolm Hensley attended his 60th high school reunion in Iraan,TX. Don Mabray gave a short history of the Southwest Conference. Don Kelley is happy to be a Horned Frog. Gordon Bishop was happy for his USC Trojans and San Diego Chargers. Attendance 46 members and 7 guests Service above Self Outreach to the Community On Sat. Sept. 27, a group of Rotarians organized by Adaire Wolf met in the cafeteria of East View High School to assemble Rotary’s Eiffel Tower for their homecoming dance. The Tower was used as a backdrop for their photos. The students were most appreciative of the loan. A big Rotary thank you goes to Mickey McLaughlin, Ginny Wagner, Stan Brandenburg, Bob Elam, Sharon and Keith Goudy, Gary Sandercock, and Adaire Wolf for your service. I understand the tower has seen better days. Today’s Program Our speaker will be District Governor, Hanspeter Tobler. Welcome Governor!
