The Shortlist

2019

Together with our cooperation partners, the festival invites all photographers worldwide to take part. Around 50 books will be selected for the shortlist and exhibited in Kassel and at other international photo events. 3 winners will be chosen by an international jury. The winner of the First Prize will have his or her photobook produced and published.

This year we again invited all photographers worldwide to take part and to send us their unpublished photobook mock-up. In total, 362 photobooks from 37 countries from all over the world were sent in to the 2019 kassel dummy award. The shortlist selection resulted in 53 photobooks. You can find images of all the shortlisted books in this brochure. You can get more information about the book project and the photographer /author on their website or by contacting them.
