Ruth (Briscoe) RayRuth (Briscoe) Ray was born near Liberal Kansas on March 16, 1913. She attended PrairieDell School in Blacktail Township, North Dakota. At the age of 16, Ruth started work atBanners' Bakery, where Conlin's Furniture is presently located. She met Chester Ray at thebakery. On June of 1932, Ruth and Chester were married in Wolf Point, MT. Theyhoney-mooned with a trip to Aberdeen. Chester and his brother, Duff started a plumbing shopin 1935 where the J.C. Penney store is now located. They lived in the back quarters of theshop. Ruth did the bookwork and answered the phones.
When the war started in 1942, the Government came and took all of the copper for the wareffort, so Chester, their son and Ruth moved to Vallejo, CA. Chester went to work in the shipyards, Ruth went to work in the Bible Book Store and their son got a paper route. In 1945 theyreturned to Williston where they rejoined the Ray Plumbing and Heating Co., and Ruth workedin the office for 34 years. While working Ruth was a Sunday School Superintendent for 25years and treasurer of her church for 17 years. After Chester retired they lived in ApacheJunction, AZ. Chester's health was not good. They lived in Arizona for 10 years-coming homefor the summers. While here they delivered meals-on-wheels.
In 1988 their son passed away. Ruth has three grandchildren; LES in Coco, FL, BLAINE inBeaverton, OR. And LINDSEY in Portland, OR. She also has 4 great-grandchildren. In 1994Chester passed away. They had been married 62 years. Ruth then returned to Williston, herhome. Ruth has been active in Christians Woman's Club for 20 years. Ruth is very involvedwith the Craft Ladies at the Senior Center. She enjoys their fellowship and doing crafts. Ruthhas been an active volunteer at the center over the years and we are pleased to have her asa volunteer of the month for March 2009.

The successful applicant is responsible for three primary areas:
a) Responsible for the day to day coordination of MWECs metering and
power protection relays.
b) The testing, calibration, and maintenance of all types of meters and
metering equipment. This includes both traditional and AMR meters.
c) The configuration, installation, inspection, troubleshooting, testing,
repairing and maintenance of protective relays, OCR’s, data
acquisition components, as well as all other associated electrical
equipment used throughout the MWEC service area.
The applicant selected for this position will be required to live in close proximity
to Williston, North Dakota.
