THE QUEST FOR PEACE: DARK MOON SAGA 3, CHAPTER 3.25

Generation 7:

New milestones and new challenges, this is what Generation 7 is facing. And the gods of Greece are just now learning about what has happened to the Norse gods; and

about Loki’s betrayal…

How will they react knowing that Loki dares to hide in their country?

In the frozen northern lands of Norway, the young Seer of the Future Skuld; was revealing her prophecy to her fellow Norns Verdandi, the Seer of the

Present and Urd, the Seer of the Past.

“The gods of Vengeance and Justice unite; Vali and Forseti seek the Betrayer in the land of fragrant olives and laurels; Great will the clash be and many shall

fall in the cross fire as the gods battle for dominion over their lands. Only when the Heir of Peace sheds her preconceptions shall the battle be resolved.”

Odin nodded solemnly; he had been called to the base of Yggdrasill to hear Skuld speak her prophecy.

“And you are sure that this will come to pass?”

Skuld: I am always assured that my prophecies shall come to pass All Father, for 1200 years this has been so. I am never wrong.

Odin: I should have known Loki would betray me again; that I would lose yet another son to his treachery. With the

Greek Fates under the control of the Entity, I fear that my Norse lands shall be the next

target of its wrath.

Skuld: I have foreseen this; I foresaw that he would do it again, and yet you still

refuse to believe me.

Odin: I was naïve; I have no other reason for my behaviour. And perhaps I had wished that my blood brother would not be

so brazen as to attempt another assassination of one of my sons. What I must do to punish Loki

for good this time?

Skuld: As my prophecy states; so shall it come to pass. He will be hunted by Vali and Forseti.

Odin: But it is the reaction from the Greek gods to Vali and

Forseti that have me concerned…

Skuld: They shall not come to harm, for Zeus is far too busy to

worry about them.

Urd: Zeus is known for his mistakes and misjudgements; I have seen how impactful they have been in the past.

Odin: I agree; he and I do not see eye to eye on how to handle our pantheons, you as a Seer of the Past know this.

Urd: I do.

Verdandi: And Zeus does not know that there is one presently in his pantheon who knows this to be so; the young god is not one to let him get away with it. He is presently surrounded with enemies and

he knows nothing of their intents.

Skuld: And this young god will be joined by an unlikely ally; though the two are not on friendly terms, they will work together to save

another who will become a powerful general in the army of the Entity if not protected.

Verdandi: Her present course is heading that way.

Skuld: The future for her is clouded; I cannot see it.

Verdandi: Yes, the Entity knows about us and has prevented your ability to see visions for her.

Urd: Her past life as a minion for the god Ares has left a lasting mark; in her past she did whatever she could to please the God of War.

Verdandi: And it affects her present life.

Skuld: And will impact her future lives.

Odin: Who? Who is this girl?

Urd, Verdandi, Skuld:

Callisto, daughter of Aiden and Psyche.

“The Bringer of Chaos.”

Meanwhile…

Aiden: Hope, I know we haven’t talked or even seen each other in decades but I’m running low on allies I can count on. You’re my little

sister, if you won’t help me…I don’t know who will.

Hope: You want me to help you take away your daughter’s godhood to prevent Chaos from using her?

Aiden: Yes, basically. I have talked to Psyche and she agrees that it’s the only alternative.

Hope: You really think Zeus is gonna let you do that? I doubt it. And how do you know our father hasn’t already gotten a hold on her? Or if

he’s made her a full god yet?

Aiden: I don’t, which is why I need your help to find out.

Hope: I have my own daughter to worry about you know, Aries doesn’t even know what I am or that our child has godly blood. And I don’t want to tell him

either.

Aiden: Hope, please she’s your niece—

Hope: That I haven’t seen or even heard of until just now. And you have another daughter I’ve never met either.

Love: Who are you and why are you arguing with my mommy?

Aiden: I’m your uncle, Aiden. And we’re not arguing sweetheart, we’re just talking.

Love: Talking loudly, I couldn’t hear my game over you two.

Aiden: I’m sorry about that.

Love: What do you want here?

Aiden: I was asking for help…but it appears I won’t be getting it here.

Love: My daddy doesn’t like strangers in our house.

Out of the mouths of babes. Aiden was taken aback by her outspoken attitude. Though it was true enough, he was all but a stranger to Hope. It seemed so

long ago now that the two of them were close as siblings; ever since Jason was killed they only ever had each other. Then he let his own selfish interests

drive a wedge so deep between them that it looked to be impossible to repair now. The little girl before him stared up at him with their mother’s eyes;

Mokosh’s eyes and it only made him feel even worse; because he let her down too.

Love: You should go before daddy gets home from work.

Hope: Love…go play on the computer. I’ll handle this.

Aiden: So you won’t help me then?

Hope: No, I won’t, but I know who can. He knows better than I do about how things are on Olympus and he’s just as dissatisfied with Zeus and Chaos as the

rest of us are. But know, that he might not want to help you either.

Aiden: Hope, just tell me who he is.

Hope: Look for Solan, he’s the son of Reias, mom’s old friend from way back when. He might help you out to save Callisto, but he hates

dad as much as we do so he’s more likely to just kick your ass or leave you a quivering basket case with his emotional manipulation

powers.

Aiden: Solan huh? I’ve heard of him. Psyche talked about him when we were in college. Thanks little sis, I appreciate the lead.

Hope: And big bro?

Aiden: Yes?

Hope: Don’t get yourself killed…I don’t want to lose another brother.

Aiden: I won’t be dying any time soon kiddo, count on it.

Aiden had another appointment to get to and this one he wasn’t about miss…again.

Althea: Daddy!! You came!! I knew you would!!

Aiden: Of course baby girl. I swore I would be here didn’t I?

Althea: I know. I get to be big now! Can I see Olympus? Please?

Aiden: Umm, no I don’t think so. It’s too dangerous for you right now.

Althea: Aww, no fair.

Aiden: I’m sorry honey I’ll get you something else okay?

Althea grew into a happy, healthy Family/Knowledge life pather whose fondest wish was to see Three of her Kids Graduate College someday.

And her first wish as a teen was to find her First Kiss.

Mostly because her parents and grandparents were so happy with their True Loves…despite being quite the exhibitionists about it. It

was both sweet and embarrassing at the same time.

Althea: Wow, so your wings are real? That’s so hot…

Bell: Yep, was born with them. I get them from my great grandfather Cupid. My dad and my aunt have them too, but they aren’t black like mine. Mine are

cooler.

Althea: I totally agree. Wanna make out?

Bell: Sure.

Bell: You smell good Althea.

Althea: So do you.

Bell: We should go steady, I wouldn’t have anyone else.

Althea: Of course, totally.

Althea: You know the other girls are gonna be so jealous of me.

Bell: Probably, I mean Minos is pretty top dollar too but he has that girl with the purple hair and eyes now and I have you. So they can just deal.

Althea: You are so cool.

Bell: I know. I get that a lot.

Althea: NOOGIE!!

Bell: AHH!! The hair!! The hair!!

Althea: Hehe.

Aging all around, at Dade’s house…

Aeson: Alright.

Ambrosia: You’re such a dork.

Aeson: Yeah, but I’m a cool dork. Right little sis?

Ambrosia: Yeah, I suppose.

Aeson: What do you mean, you suppose? Ouch.

The next day…

Aeson: So you got a girlfriend now?

Bell: Yeah, she’s awesome.

Aeson: Do we get to meet her soon cuz? I’d like to know who she is.

Bell: Yeah you and everyone else, Ilea, Aegina even Minos is asking about her.

Aeson: We look out for each other, it’s what our parents told us to do.

Bell: I know. I mean it’s not like she’s related to Dalen or anything. Althea is good.

Aeson: But still…you can’t be too careful nowadays.

Bell: Dude, you sound like dad. I get it.

Aeson: Well then you’d better start working out string bean there’s plenty of moose-like guys who’d easily knock your lights out and take her.

Bell: Ahh!! Knock it off!!

Aeson; Older cousin’s privilege. I get to beat on you, and only me got it?

Bell: Yeah, yeah sure. Whatevs.

Dade: I remember that. Icarus used to play the older brother card; I never liked him for it.

Meanwhile at the main lot…

Ilea: Are you ready grandma?

Pandora: Ready and waiting.

Aegina: Who’s going to play with me now?

Ilea: Don’t worry, you still have Ambrosia for a few more days. Then there’s also mom’s friend Pollux, he has kids too.

Aegina: But you’re my sister… *pouts*

Atalanta: Oh dear…what an outfit.

Ilea: I like it mom!! I think it’s cool.

Iolaus: Aww, let her keep it Lanta, she likes it.

Atalanta: Fine…I suppose I should let the heiress have what she wants.

Pandora: Ilea? Why did you put soap in the Ancestors’ Fountain?

Ilea: Grandma!! I didn’t see you there!!

Pandora: You know, this is the final resting place of our ancestors and since you’re generation seven’s heiress, it will be your final resting place too. You

should respect it.

Ilea: Aww, grandma I was just messing around.

Speaking of older cousins…

Minos: I am so nervous, do I look

nervous? I hate being nervous…

Seiya: Relax Min, you’re repeating yourself. And I’m

nervous too it’s ok.

Minos: Our first official date…wow never

thought I’d say that.

Seiya: Mine too. I don’t date much…mainly

because my father was so overprotective.

Minos: I have one too, I mean about the

overprotective parent, my mom.

Minos: But you know moms are nuts about that kind of thing anyway, especially if you’re the only child like me. They go kinda nuts.

Seiya winced inwardly; her mom Batalia was like that but Seiya wasn’t the only child, she was the oldest of five. And when her mom went nuts, she

usually killed someone…such as her first boyfriend. He made a bad move by being controlling of her and Talia killed him for it. She never dated anyone

again after that.

Seiya never told Minos that, she was afraid Talia might go after him too.

Minos: So what do you want to eat?

Seiya: Whatever I’m not too picky.

Minos: Are you alright? You seem disappointed, do the pork chops suck or something?

Seiya: No, they’re fine. I was just thinking that’s all. Is your mom…nice?

Minos: Nice? Well yeah I suppose so. Why?

Seiya: I dunno, it was kind of a dumb question. Sorry.

Minos: So…how come I never see your parents at the Parents Night?

Seiya: Oh…well my dad’s kinda stuck away on business and I haven’t seen my mom in a while…

Minos: Oh.

Seiya poked at her food, she wanted to tell him so badly who her dad was and why she was here, but telling him her dad was stuck in another realm

and her mother was trying to kill off his family line…yeah that wouldn’t make her look crazy at all…

Minos: Wanna dance?

Minos: I don’t usually dance, but I do know how. I was raised by parents and grandparents who love to dance.

Seiya: You live with your grandparents too?

Minos: Yeah, I mean I did. Grandpa Solan went out…and he hasn’t come back yet. I don’t know why. I miss him.

Seiya: I never knew my grandparents.

Of course she couldn’t say that her parents had the same father but different mothers, Diamos’s mother was killed when he was a teenager and Batalia’s mother was Xena. She knew about them but had never met them

Minos: I can’t imagine not knowing them, on both sides.

Seiya: Can we not ruin this by talking parents and grandparents? I want to just enjoy being with you.

Minos: Oh, sure. Sorry if I was prying.

Seiya: Hey you do know how to dance.

Minos: I told you I was good dancer.

Minos surprised her by dipping her low and kissing her. At first Seiya was shocked, but as it turned out she was also thrilled that

he was so spontaneous. It was then that she knew she had to protect him if and when her mother ever found out who he was.

For Minos though, he knew it was bold of him to do but she looked so sad whenever she mentioned her parents and he didn’t want their

first date to be ruined if she was sad. He did wonder about who they were though, he knew his grandfather was a god but he never

mentioned Seiya, even in passing. It was the mystery of her that kept him interested and wanting to please her, she was special. He only

hoped he could keep her interest in him…

Minos: This was an awesome date. Don’t you think?

Seiya: We should do this again for sure.

Minos: Oh definitely. Call my cell whenever you want to go out again.

Seiya: I will.

Seiya: I promise I won’t be so down next time.

Minos: It’s okay, I understand. Parents can be annoying sometimes.

Seiya smiled; if he only knew the half of it…

Part B:

The last few birthdays of generation seven, Pollux’s triplets, Ambrosia and Aegina, legacy spare came quickly. Which can only mean that

things will become more difficult from here on. Ilea, the newly chosen heiress to the legacy, seems to be under the impression that holding the reigns for the next generation is going to be a piece of cake; all

fun and games…

Aegina: So there was an ulterior motive, I knew it.

Ilea: Just imagine, hot guys, hot cars, the most exclusive restaurants and shops in Hidden City, we’re glam girls now. And heiress is such an impressive title too. Oh and cruises on the Mediterranean too,

can’t forget them.

Aegina: And just because you’re the heiress right?

Ilea: Of course.

Aegina: You do know you have to get married and have kids as heiress right? That’s what a legacy is.

Ilea: I know, but not till after college. I want to travel, see the world, see America, England; everywhere.

Aegina: America? Really? Why so far?

Ilea: Because it’s far, duh. I’ve spent my whole life in Greece.

Ilea: It’ll be sweet, you’ll see.

Aegina: Mom and grandma want us to see our cousins later today.

Ilea: Yeah, yeah I know the whole bonding thing.

Aegina: You make it sound like a chore. I think it’ll be fun to see everyone.

Ambrosia: So why are we out in the cold garage and not inside again?

Ilea: Because this is the teens only zone, duh. It’s our pad.

Ambrosia: But it’s cold.

Ilea: But ours. That’s the important thing.

Bell: Cars awesome though, what are they Lamborghinis?

Ilea: Naturally. The pink one’s mine.

Aeson: So why do you have an Italian sports car?

Ilea: It’s Italian. Luxury.

Minos: Why does it sound as if you’re only after status symbols? Don’t you know why our family is doing what we’re doing? Didn’t your mom tell you?

Ilea: Yeah, she did. But why can’t I enjoy our family’s wealth while we’re at it? We have enough of it.

Ambrosia: Because wealth is only a thing, it can be taken away or replaced. Family can’t.

Bell: Ambrosia’s got a point.

Ilea: OMG you guys, what’s wrong with having fun? I thought you’d be cool about it, not all serious and stuff.

Aeson: This is a serious situation.

Ilea: *groan* Not you too Ace…come on!!

Aeson: Dad’s a scientist, he taught me the seriousness of our family’s Quest and you know it too, he told you when we were kids.

Ilea: You guys are seriously sucking the fun out of this…

Ambrosia: Can we PLEASE go inside? My ass is numb.

Aegina: Come on sis, just play with us.

Ilea: I would but someone has seriously downed my mood.

Aeson: I simply stated a fact.

Aeson: Actually, only Gina can take her place. She’s the main line spare.

Aegina: I don’t want to be heir. Ilea will come around, she always does.

Aeson: Spoken like a true little sister.

Aegina: What does that mean?

Aeson: Nothing.

Aeson: Although, logically since I was also born in this house and so was Ambrosia we’d have an equal shot at heirship too.

Minos: You have the wrong last name dude.

Aeson: Damn, that’s right.

Aegina: Why does no one have faith in Ilea?

Aeson: Actions speak louder than words cousin. She just doesn’t seem too interested in carrying the next generation. All she wants is the status and

power that our family has in this city.

Aegina: I have faith in her, even if you guys don’t.

Over at Sim State, one’s faith in the right thing was about to be

tested…

Lyra had been talking to Jade a lot recently, one of

her sister Hope’s old blogs on the computer

talked about how great a person she was. Lyra had

to meet her in person.

Lyra: And that’s how I rigged the shower on my

roommate, turned her hair green for a week.

Jade: You are so bad. But that was a good prank, I

must say.

Lyra: I know right?

Jade: You get it from Hope.

Jade: Actually I had wanted to talk to you about Hope and Aiden, I was glad you called.

Lyra: Oh? What about?

Jade twiddled her thumbs nervously, she had to know the truth…

“It’s rather disturbing I’m afraid.”

Lyra: What—what is it? Are they alright? Did something happen?

Jade: No, they’re fine but someone should tell you the truth…

Lyra: What truth?

Jade: Lyra, they aren’t—I mean to say is that Aiden and Hope aren’t your siblings, they’re your cousins.

Lyra: I don’t understand…what do you mean?

Jade: Mokosh, she’s not your mother…your mother is Batalia. I know because I was there when you were born, in the Temple of Ares.

Lyra: But—no…that can’t be…NO!! You LIE!!

Jade: Honey, I don’t. It’s true.

Lyra: Why would you say such horrible things??!! How could you!!

Jade hid her face in shame; the poor girl…

Lyra: Why? Why did my mother not tell me? Was I so bad that I had to be given away??!!

Jade: No honey, never. It wasn’t your fault, Zeus cursed Batalia, he took you from her and gave you to Mokosh.

Lyra: Why? What did Batalia do?

Jade: She helped Dalen alter time, taking you from her as a newborn was his punishment for Talia. Mokosh had her babies taken from her by Dalen, you

were given to her at the request of Poseidon to ease her loss and to give you a fair shot at a normal life.

Lyra: Zeus wanted to protect me?

Jade: Yes, and he did. You grew up beautifully thanks to Mokosh.

After she had calmed down, Jade asked her to come into the bedroom, the next thing she had to tell the poor girl was not meant

to be overheard by her roommate.

Jade: And now, I’m going to protect you again. I was sent to kill you and give your Olympian blood to Chaos; I won’t do it. I’ll take my

own blood and give it Chaos instead. I am not an Olympian, Chaos can never get a hold of Olympian blood.

Lyra: But won’t that mean your death once Chaos learns of the betrayal?

Jade’s eyes clouded over, a small tear traced its way down her cheek; Lyra got the message.

Lyra: It will, won’t it? You’re going to die to protect me?

Jade: Yes. I will most likely be killed for this; either by Dalen or by Chaos. But if it means you’ll survive then I’ll gladly sacrifice my life for you. Our time

together may have been brief, but I knew I’d love you like my own daughter from the moment you took your first breath, the same goes for Aiden and

Hope.

Lyra: But, Jade…isn’t there another way? Can’t you do this so you live too?

The simself shook her head sadly; this was the only choice if she was going to protect the young girl before her.

Xylen: You think I am a FOOL??!! This is not the blood I asked for!!

Dalen: Of course it is, Jade got it herself!!

Xylen: Giving it to Pellas nearly killed her!!! You double crossed me!! You will suffer for this!!

Dalen: You need me; I am Hope, part of your Dark Triad. If anyone deserves your wrath it’s the lousy bitch who betrayed both of us.

Xylen: You know nothing youngling; but…you do make a point. I do need you more than I need some bimbo.

Dalen: I thought so.

Xylen turned his blazing red eyes to Jade; and without even touching her he made her scream. His power was twisting her

insides; torturing her and setting her nerves on fire. Batalia had expected that Jade would betray them; she never had the heart for

evil. But Callisto did, her great niece held promise.

Batalia; Watch and learn Callisto; you’re about to see how a true master deals with disobedience.

Luckily, her death was instantaneous…

End of Entry Thirty-Seven.

Jade’s sacrifice will not have been in vain; Xylen did not get a hold of the Olympian blood this time…

But that will not stop him from trying again.
