    The Proverbs of Sadiq

    1(The differences)

    1. Blessed is the man that honoreth his father and mother who borne him, and he is notboastful nor laugheth them to scorn.

    2. The saying of the righteous bear fruit, and will yield seeds in the day of harvest.3. Not so is the wicked, for his tree is burnt and laid to waste in air.4. A good offspring is the pride of the father and an evil one layeth much burden.5. He that is thankful will gain more, but he without gratitude receiveth much anger from

    the Lord.

    6. In the light of wisdom is much gain, but darkness holds men apart.7. He that provokes war disunite the ordering, but a peace maker instills understanding.8. The fear of the Lord draws away evil but to do that which wrong is ungodly.9. Fear not saying: What shall I eat? For the Lord provides from whence you know

    not.

    10.In understanding man becomes free from the lowly life and ascends to the higher, buta man without it [understanding] faileth at all times.

    11.At the harvest season, forget not the laborer, nor the poorfeed them handsomelythat the Lord may set your ways upright.

    12.An upright soul never lies, but the crooked attest to falsehood which holds no ground.13.A contrive heart is the beloved of the Lord, but he that followeth desires will assuredly

    make much wrong

    14.To forgive a wrong requires mercy, but he without forgiveness cannot obtain mercy.15.Marry the woman you love and stay loyal to her till the end.16.The path of wisdom is known to the Lordwho shall inquiry it?17.Give an enemy bread that the Lord may know your heart as right. But admonish him

    concerning your Lords decree that he may not die wicked.

    18.To save a soul is the way of the righteous, but the wicked destroyeth much good.19.Render your way unto the Lord and He will guide you, for His guidance is true.20.Love truth, all the days of your life for without it you labor come to naught.

    2(Judgment)

    1. He that loveth praise of men and doth not that which the Lord requireth is amisleader.

    2. To discern truth, judgment must remain upright.3. To follow desires towards a case perverts judgment and hateful is it to the Lord and

    to men of understanding.

    4. A righteous king is the beloved of the peoplein him there is no lie.5. Light glows in the face of the righteous master, and in his mind there is happiness.

    6. Judgment without the Lords counsel is vanity, and every vanity is a definitefalsehood.

    7. Speak the truth at all times and the Lord will erect your feet firm.8. Do not support an evil people nor pay heed to their advice for at the end leads to

    destitution.

    9. If a man be poor, lean not on him over a rich man. And if a man be rich, lean not onhim over the poor man. But judge justly for that pleaseth the Lord.

    10.Do not be a bribe taker, nor a bonus giver to pervert judgment. Wait and trust in thetrustworthy to decipher the truth of the case.

    11.The way of the perverse is corrupt but who will save him from the doom at hand?12.Accuse not the innocent of a crime lest the Lord beholds it and seeks vengeance.13.A worthy kings kingdom is founded on truth and justice but the unworthy is not so

    for he corrupts the throne and all his subjects.

    14.A gentle response with pity is better than a harsh statement with punishment.15.He that works on lies trusteth falsehood and no light is in him. Trust him not.16.The heart of a musician is in his melody, if he lieth ye shall know and if he speaketh

    the truth ye shall know.

    17.To believe in the Lord and His revelation bringeth much peace, to thwart it [therevelation] inviteth wrath.

    18.Believe you will get many and many will come, to doubt in yourself brings noassurance to your station.

    19.Be careful of the friends you keep. A good friend loveth you and tell you true things.An evil friend is not so, for he hateth you and tell you lies mostly.

    20.Wealth in measure is better than abundance with no peace of mind.

    3(Righteousness)

    1. Blessed is the morally upright, for he is the beloved of God.2. As he walketh, his Lord behold him and guideth his every step.3. Though the wicked plotteth, the Lord defends he who works on the straight path.4. Merry of heart is he that is righteous, for his every minute is that of joy.5. The Lord inspireth the righteous to do right things and he doth no wrong though the

    people may not see.

    6. He is given two eyes and both see well.7. He is given two legs and arms and they guide his movement.8. He will not fall into the pit, nor be an indignation to the people of God.9. He wisheth both friends and foe well. And never will laugh at the fall of others.10.He giveth food to the poor and unto the needy, his labor go not to waste and will be

    rewarded by the Almighty.

    11.The Lord loveth the righteous, for that set purpose He created men from clay.12.The world of the righteous is all-right and no wrong can be done, though the people

    may not see it.

    13.Perfect is the way of him that treads the right path and he when stumbleth seekeththe forgiveness of his Lord.

    14.The Light of the Lord is laid open unto the heart of the righteous, and every time isgloweth more and more.

    15.He that is beloved of God, will also be beloved to wise men, and only the ignorantdespiseth his saying.

    16.The gates of paradise are there for the righteous to enter, and therein will they bemade glad and happy.

    17.Though a righteous man may live little, the Lord accounteth all his actions and will bepaid him full, naught is diminished.

    18.To enter into the council of righteous men brings security for they utter no lies.19.With wisdom and understanding many things are made good, even the righteous

    trangresseth not the path (of indignation).

    20.Happy is the man that loveth righteousness and his Lord found him doing, for manywill profit with his life.

    4(Wisdom and Knowledge)

    1. Blessed is the wise from his Lord, for he will discern judgment.2. A prudent heart hath understanding but who will comment the foolish?3. Sweet is the word that comes after a right action and knowledge empowers it.4. With wisdom and knowledge, the Lord bestoweth favor in abundance.5. He that despiceth the wisdom of his father though he be understanding let him die a

    miserable death!

    6. In every inspiration that it be of God is a means for men to grow.7. He that soweth beans cannot reap apples for eating. Let the wise man determine

    then who he counsels.

    8. Wisdom is the heart of life, and he with it hath something greater than silver or gold.9. To be happy and delightsome never scorn knowledge.10.Destroyed is he that sayeth there is no wisdom in the word of the Lord for he will be

    cast into hell, hapless.

    11.What greater understanding it is that man cannot discern? Let him seek light, and theLord will guard him even in strange places.

    12.Beautified in the world for men are women and off-springs, but he that hath wisdomwill care for his family well.

    13.A little wroth, a little laughterbut what can save a blind man? Let him see well.14.The distinction between wisdom and intelligence is as the difference between heaven

    and earth, but what can tell for the timing (of those two)?

    15.Gain wisdom and you discern truth from lies, gain knowledge that you may seek thepath to go. And do no evil for it will be against you.

    16.Merry at day and at night-time. Happy is the man with great understanding.17.Understand the way and you will not fall into mischief, for the mischief makers have

    no way to go.

    18.Compromise not with evil men for their end is destruction, in order not to fall into thepit, cease.

    19.In agreement to do right saveth the people from destitution, but the wicked lay waitfor them.

    20.He that doth wrong and say it is right is blind. And he that turn away from anadmonishment that he may not hear is deaf. Open your eyes to see, and your ear to

    hear (truth).

    5(Time)

    1. As the sun goeth right and left so does the age of men go up upon the earth.2. A babe is born into the world, and his Lord knoweth his intention even before birth.3. Time may pass, but the evil day of the wicked cannot be averted.4. He that watcheth time observe as it moves, nothing can stop it.5. At the event of every action (whether good or evil) is indeed recorded at the time of

    the action.

    6.

    Do not despair of the good day to come for the Lord hath promised it.7. Change your direction if it indeed be evil, for the time of the Lord no one knoweth.

    Lest you die and perish in thine wickedness.

    8. At moonlight the children play, and the night wind blows from a direction. Take heedthen, lest the men walking in darkness harm them without cause.

    9. A watchman at night guardeth the area, in safety pray unto the Lord offering nightlydevotion. For it wipeth some sins committed during the day.

    10.The prayer of the righteous reacheth the Lord and his Lord grants him what He will.But the offering of the evil (at night time) reacheth not the Lord and his an

    abomination against him.

    11.Who can discern the time of the Lords coming? For that day is indeed hard againstevil doers.

    12.A time is fixed. That hour will all men be gathered to their Lord, God. It requires ashout and behold! They are resurrected.

    13.Pay heed to your affairs and be not careless, for a careless man is froward in thesight of his Lord.

    14.Corrupt not your ways and make them straight. Seek the Lord and He will guide youaright.

    15.Leave alone a fool for his Lord will judge him in his foolishness. Rather spend yourtime with wise men that you may gain understanding.

    16.Turn not away from a worthy adviser for his advice brings much good.17.Do not be distracted against the weak and feeble. Lo! Love the poor that the Lord

    may love you too.

    18.Time changes, and the station men reach from generation to generation is different.But at the hour, all is vanished (and then created to a new world).

    6(Love)

    1. Love is sweet. It is as honey in the honeycomb.2. A man that hath an honorable wife is better than he that hath a harlot as a friend.

    29.Do not forget to do good to man and beast, for they are a colonyeach in their unit.30.Strengthen your feet in the way of the Lord, and he will establish you on earthand

    remember; love heals many wounds.

    31.The distracter concerns you with what is not, but your beloved calls you and youhear.

    7(Color)

    1. What is man made of? Clay of different shades.2. Some are white, some are black, and some in between.3. Therefor, a man that scorns a race is a fool and has no understanding towards the

    right.

    4.

    The despised race may be the conquerors, while the elevated may be brought low. Itis all in Gods Hands.

    5. He creates what He wills, and pigments them as He wills.6. Not true is it that some of a race are more intelligent than the other7. Nor is it that a race is superior than the other.8. Nor inferior. For all these are false doctrines and bear no fruit.9. As for the righteous, the Lord guideth his steps. And he knoweth no color as superior

    or inferior.

    10.All he knoweth that we be men only. Bound to die at a term fixed, returning to the Al-mighty Who will tell what ye did.

    11.Therefor, unite as one people and the world will see no difference.12.Embrace the word of truth and ye may be guided.13.Do not allow the chiefs to mislead you saying: Our race or tribe is under attack,

    defend your gods! For all these have spoken vainly and know no truth.

    14.Also seek not other gods from false traditions. The only God, is God Alonenot twobut One. He commands and invites you unto paths of righteousness which is best.

    15.Love one another and never become distracted from the purpose in life which is tobelieve, worship your Lord and become righteous men.

    16.He that hath a woman from another tribe he liketh, let him marry from that tribe. Andhe that hath a woman from another race he liketh, let him marry from that race. Say

    not: No! to a different coloring. For I give you good advice and am a wise councilor

    to thee.

    17.He that mocketh a man from another tribe or another race, God Himself doth mockhim, for he is ignorant.

    18.And nothing befalleth the ignorant out of pride save destruction at the end.19.Therefor, beware of what ye say that it may not be counted against you on the day of

    resurrection.

    20.The true distinction between mankind is belief from unbelief, and messengers andprophets are sent to bridge the differences and not to expand them. Do ye see?

    (The Gates of Paradise or Paradise)

    1. At the entrance of paradise, the angels welcome the true believers from every sidesaying: Peace be unto you. And the Lord says: Ah! Passing sweetly will be the

    welcome of the heavenly home

    2. They are visited from every gate because of the works they sent forth in their days onearth.3. The believers in God are sure that they will have to account for their deeds, and

    because of thisthey are watchful. They keep heed at every moment and mind what

    they do every day. And if the forget or make a mistake, they are quick to seek

    forgiveness.

    4. The Lord had promised the believers an eternal home in paradise where they will getall they ask for. All they desire and naught will be diminished.

    5. And the gates differ from one another but the foremost in the race will be invited fromevery gate, there will they eat and rest. And sweet goblets marked with gold and

    sapphire will be given them.6. Do not disbelieve this statement, for you can become one of the lucky ones this day.Believe in the saying of the truthful and you become righteous. You find your way

    herein and walk within it.

    7. God inspires me (the truthful) to write, so I write, even as a prophet which is not false.8. Would you not desire to enter paradise? An abode where everything is sweet to the

    eyes, and the ears? Where there is no vanity or any cause of sin to hold you back for

    you to move forward?

    9. If you accept this. Then follow me. I will never lead you astray for I cannot. And if youhelp me, God Himself will help you from His presence that you supported Sadiq, the

    truthful.

    10.I am guided from all sides, and will not sin against my Lord knowingly. I am thetrustworthy companion whom God sent to deliver His message finally that the world

    may know peace. And that they may believe in Truth.

    11.If ye be Christian or Jew, believe. If ye be Muslim, add to you belief. And if ye be notof the three parties, accept the right religion before the hour come unto you while

    unknowing. I give you good advice.

    12.And do not turn away from me when I have told you what God promises you if youbelieve, if you do good works. And your works and effort go not in vain. Nay,

    everything is indeed recorded. So take note of your actions now.

    13.That you should be aware means you are listening, and take heed to the perfectadvice that there is Only One God. The True God of all mankind. God intends tounite the human race as one. That ye be brothers of one another and no slaves to

    one another. That the world should flourish and a goodly splendor of riches reach

    you. So help Sadiq, the truthful. The most beloved of God this day. For he is the best

    in conduct.

    14.In paradise will you get abundant honey, milk, pure water and minerals refreshing. Iknow for God told me. And you will be wedded with fair lovely ones with refraining

    glances save to their husbands. God called them saying: They are as like the hidden

    eggs of the ostrich. And if you have an earthly wife that is righteous on earth, you

    will also be wedded with her in the hereafter. From this you can perceive that true

    love based on righteousness is eternal and ever lasting.

    15.Do not listen to false prophets who strife to thwart the revelations of God, or to dividemankindthey are evil and do no right. For the guiltless they call guilty, and the

    guilty they make free. But the Lord will consign them all unto hell in the hereafter. For

    they strife against God, the Invisible while He encompasses them, round about.

    16.The Lord speaks to me, and I hear Him. And the revelation come in different forms.First, when He addresses me directly, when I write on behalf of what He saidaforetime, or when I write what I know from His presence. Three ways does He

    speak to me, and it comes (the revelation) first from the ear, into the heart, and then I

    speak or write them down. Allah knows best.

    17.It is better you believe in the gardens of bliss, and find rest in my writing for yourheart will be at peace. There is much trouble in the world, but the righteous with a

    higher understanding will not dwell in fear from anyone save His Lord.

    18.Will you then come with me to the garden? Follow me.

    9(Untitled)1. Blessed is the contrive in heart who sobers at a wrong deed he doth, for it shall be

    forgiven. The transgressors are not so, they verily rejoice in sin and seek no

    repentance.

    2. Though a blessed heart may sober it is yet a while and the Lord will grant it joy aftera falling.

    3. Laugh not at the deed of the wicked lest the Lord see thee while undoing, and correctthee with a mighty wrath.

    4. To seek wealth is the work of man, but he that seeketh the bliss of the heart findethall things.5. Return the money to the lender if ye are capable and diminish not in almsgiving to

    the poor and hungryfor the Lord loveth just dealing.

    6. Hide not your wealth from kinsfolk, they are thy guard at the day of trouble when allflee away save the true.

    7. Speak the truth at all times and the Lord will set thee straight and upright.8. Destroy not the wealth of men unjust, for the Lord will call thee to account. And fear

    the day ye have no helpers to guard thee from Him.

    9. The words of the learned increaseth men in power of understanding. Not so is thefoolish, for his word is perverse and make men wonder blindly.10.Yet a while ye see, yet a while ye become blind. But he that is steadfast unto theLord seeth at all times.

    11.Never follow the diviners for they lead thee astray, and the words of the wizard arenot that of success.

    12.Entrust thyself unto the Lord, lo! Those that trust in Him are ever winners.13.A little while ye are tried with much, and a little while ye are tried with little. In the

    days of thine abundance spend ye free that the Lord may remember thee at the day

    of trouble.

    14.As the sun shineth so is the intensity of the golden heart. For it acts freely andpreserveth not the spoil of the wicked.

    15.Never entrust your kinsmen unto the wicked, they love thee notneither love theyyour kinsmen. And they disunite many that calls for unity.

    16.Forgive men that God may forgive you, and never say: I will not repent his fault17.The righteous men proceed with righteous women. Not so is the unrighteous, for they

    chase one another seeking only vanity.

    18.Repent of your fault now, for you know not when thine time cometh. And he that dothwrong and seeketh forgiveness, findeth delight from the anger of the Lord which will

    not last with him forever.19.The mirror is a reflection of yourself. So is the right action the reflection of the

    personality type.

    20.Understand the words of wisdom and say not: I know not for it will indeed make youignorant.

    21.As the birds travel in a flock, so do men walk in groups. A side evil, another sidegood.

    22.The mystery of the ant is found, they are free to tread the earth and eat even to theirfill. What then causeth men not to work so?

    23.A contentious heart causeth much strife, but he that is wise abateth argument.24.Never trust a sinner to run your business, they will consume all and leave naught for

    show.

    25.Exalt not thine self above a brother, lest the Lord see it and abase thee.26.Write and speak justice and the law will be laid in thine heart.27.The colors of the rainbow are in shades, and when it vanisheth ye see no more. So is

    the life of the worldtake heed then.

    28.Seek justice and tender mercy. Let the wicked be reproved, and lay not an innocentman to a charge he committed not.

    29.I have seen a nation that dealeth unjustly. For they take bribes and do other evils.But the Lord will find her wantonin the day constant calamity.

    30.Love your neighbor as yourself. Give your food to the hungry, and honor your parentsthat the days of your life might be good.

    31.Abolish corruptionfor it distorts the true purpose of mankind and it works contraryto faith.

    32.Save a man or beast, and do no evil in the land of the living. That is better.33.Erase your evil ways to good. That the Lord may repent you of your fault and guard

    thee into paths of peace.

    34.There cannot be any peace for the wicked, for the day of constant calamity willbefallthen will he be charged guilty.

    35.Reduce not the weight of gold for silver, nor that of silver for metal steel. But giveaccording to the true weight, and consume no usury.

    36.Fear God with your heart, and the Lord will show thee mercy. Love righteousnessand right action and your paths will be guided. And never become thankless to a

    care-giver. For if he (the care-giver) be indeed true there is a cause to give thanks.

    37.Worship the Lord in His house. And pay heed to the sanctuary. For all thesegladdens the heart of the Lord, and pleases Him much.

    38.Control thine wrath and say not to thine brother: I will kill you For h is life is preciousthan the weight of pure gold.

    39.Understand the scripture and learn it, for it is all that can lead you unto salvation.40.A generous soul giveth freely, not so is the greed for it embezzlement the funds and

    saith: Can I get more to steal?

    41.The Lord is the Shepherd of the righteous. He guideth them unto pastures greenenough to feed. And all the days of their life is good.

    42.Increase thine footing by walking uprightly and never tell a lie, for it is untrue.43.As the eastern wind bloweth so is the mercy of the Lord encompassed. And the

    journeying is only to Allah.

    44.He that readeth the scripture and believeth in it has joy. But he without understandingsaith: How can this be true? And that the Lord may repay each with his deed; do

    right in your case.45.Never befriend a transgressor for his ways are not upright. Have only righteous

    friends and you life would not be scorned by the unworthy.

    10(The race and their station)

    1. He that chooseth to save his life looseth it, but he that races to accomplish a goalfindeth much abundance.

    2. Trust in the Lord and abide in remembrance of Him at all times, then will your worksbe not wasted.

    3. The station is for the righteous to reach, they race on and would not stop till theyreach it.

    4. And what is the station? It is the paradise promised unto men the Lord had honoredby Himself, for they do right at all times.

    5. Do not be deceived at the riches of the wicked, for all these things hast the Lordgranted him that he may be questioned and burdened by a might calamity.

    6. All efforts are weighed by the Lord, but the effort of the righteous go not to waste.7. Increase your understanding and learn ye right speechand you will be truthful.8. Pay the poor due constantly, and diminish not the wealth of the orphan nor oppress

    them. For you will be called to account concerning this.

    9. The Lord loveth the good, and they it is that will ascend to the station of everlastingbliss.

    10.The race of the wicked worketh constantly backwards that they may be thrown intothe pit of fire.

    11.While the race of the righteous worketh constantly forward that they may swiftlyascend unto the garden of bliss.

    12.Trust not in vanity, for every vanity leads astray. But trust in the Words of the Lord,and you will be guided by them.

    13.Choose right above wrong, and do no wrong that ye may become successful.14.Never follow the traditions of ignorant fathers, for they know not Truth; and thus

    serveth idols which causeth the anger of the Lord, great upon them.

    15. The friend you choose must be righteous for they are notyou will not come toagreement save evil.

    16.Bid your bride to right, and feed her with sweet corn that your love may grow day byday and that you twain may enter together the paradise of blisswhich is the worthy

    station. But verily you must be on the race to do so.

    (Kindness and goodness).

    1. A kind heart is the Lords desire. In the days of strength the Lord will grant him whathe desires. And his goodness revolves around him.

    2. Lay not in wait oh evil one against the benevolent hearted for his Lord has set himabove you.

    3. Choose not to trust in lies, he that gives a kind advice is the beloved of the Lord. Andthe righteous king shall see him and honor him.

    4. Let goodness and mercy be the determiner of your action and the Lord will set theestraight.

    5. He that is good is only good unto himself, his favor from the Lord is only because ofthe effort he made while on earth.

    6. Though time passes and men pass away, the remembrance of a good one in thehearts of many cause them to sorrow at his loss.

    7. Kindness is the jewel of the heart, he that hath it not just existbut lives well abovemany.8. Pray to the Lord to show you mercy, for in mercy is your heart dilated and instills yedo good at all times.

    9. The righteous man is kind-hearted, not so is the evil, for his heart is filled with angerand his wrath provoketh war.

    10.In kindness and goodness there is no strife, all men merry as though they be incelebration.

    11.If you must marry a man being female, marry the kind-hearted, and if you must marrya woman being a man, marry the compassionatefor all the two partners are

    heavenly matched.

    12.Take heed lest you destroy the orphan, and his wealth. For verily the kind improvethand delay nothing right.

    13.Feed the poor and hungry that the mercy of the Lord may abide in you. And say notunto them: Fie uponyou but offer a pleasing word. For none loveth the poor save

    the kindly.

    14.Though the Lord may become angry at the doings of men, He forgetteth not thekindly, and He verily will show him mercy at the day of His wrath.

    15.The judgment day is true, and is come. Pay heed lest ye deal in the wrong and claimyou are the kind givers. For men may deceive other men, but the Lord knoweth all

    their actions.

    16.As the bird giveth food to her off-spring on a nest well above, so does the kind givewealth unto kinsfolk in the day of their destitution.

    17.Be not be proud of heart nor haughty in the land for all these angers the Lord. Makeyour heart light and kind. And goodness will abide with you all your life-time.

    18.The good enjoineth mercy, kindness and justice. He that is wicked doth not so, forthey enjoineth war, unkindness and adversary but how can they win?

    19.Be friends to the kindly and your works will be pleasing even unto thyself. For thekind rewards men generously.

    20.Be steadfast with your belief in God Al-mighty and He verily will show thee the pathof kindness.

    21.A good conduct is the admiration of many men, but an evil conduct provoketh war.22.Learn ye true speech and good conductfor only this is the salvation of mankind.

    23.A united world can only be established if all men do good, as for the evil they verilywill perish as the reward of their deed.

    24.The good merry and greet without season, but evil men boast and become hatefuleven to their own self.

    25.There is abundance of peace to the good and the kindly, but how will the wickedknow peace when there is no way?

    26.A little thought, a little action. The thoughts and actions of the good is best.

    12.(Abundance in prosperity, a Scroll of Sadiq as written directly from the Koran)

    1. Lo! We have given thee abundance.2. So pray unto thine Lord and sacrifice.3.

    Lo! It is thine insulter thou who is without posterity

    .1. I wrote this scroll even though it was originally revealed in the Koran to prophet

    Muhammad, I use this to defend my fatherAhmed, for there are some among men who

    assume he will not live to see his children succeed in this present life.

    13.(The Listening)

    1. Listen to the inner voice of your heart, are you listening?2. For there is no deafness in the ear of the listener, but he that hear not flees from

    truth.

    3. What can tell thee what he might have gained if he heard?4. The Lord maketh deaf, and giveth hearing. Even as He gives blindness and seeing.5. Can the deaf be compared to the listener, or can darkness be equated to light?6. Therefor, pay ye heed and listen to the callfor it is not broken.7. He that listens, know your Lord is One, not two, not more. One only.8. He ordered the earth and then expanded it.9. He ordered the heavens and soon will everything be brought unto contraction.10.For the Lords Hand is wide and very big. In His Hand will the earth be rolled up, asthe likeness of a scroll.11.Pay ye heed and be ye fearful of that awful day, for it is the day of reckoning which

    none can escape, not even the fly boozing a nest.

    12.Then will all be judged fairly, each according to his deed.13.As for the righteous, there is much good that awaits him.14.As for the wicked, there is evil for judgment.15.Turn your ways to truth, and listen when the crier cries from a near place, for indeed

    that will be rising forth from the graves.

    16.Listen to your heart that the Lord may speak.17.

    If it commands you to do right, do it.18.If it commands you to do evil, turn awayfor thus hath the devil asked.

    19.Withdraw from evil and shield it away from every sidefor the Lord guards therighteous who listens and comes unto the Lord with a contrite heart.

    20.There will he be rewarded paradise and brought into the garden at hand.21.Where all ye find are sweetening to eyes and glaring to the hearing with no sense of

    vanity.

    22.If you have an ear that listens then hear. The Lord hath bided you to serve Him only.To worship Him only and be steadfast in thine duty towards Him. And that ye worship

    not lying gods, nor pay heed to false prophets who pervert judgment and speak lies

    only.

    23.And that you trust in Him in the day of trouble and in the day of great prosperity. Andremain ye thankful even till your day passes by. This hath he commanded you that ye

    may discern (truth).

    14.(Sight)

    1. The sight gives light to the blind.2. It unfolds the misery of life, and lay clear what is to come.3. The seer of false vision is blind and has no sight, while the seer of true vision sees

    well, and has sight.

    4. Never trust in men who go to diviners to show them a way, for all their stories arelies.

    5. There is none that knows the unseen save God Himself, and He reveals them untoHis prophets, the chosen of God to deliver His message. And there is no lie in them,

    for they are true.

    6. Yet a while ye see the way, and yet a while ye become blind. But he that trusteth inthe Lord is given vision at all times.

    7. Remember that the end winners are the righteous, for at every hour they discerntruth and see clearly what others do not.

    8. He that is given sight from childhood attaineth something great. But he that becomean blind and yet an adult is a foolish one. And there is none to deliver him for he will

    die blind.

    9. See the truth of life as a firm standing, and the Lord will establish your presence. Hewho lieth faileth miserably.

    10.And put your trust in the Lord, for He will guide your every move. He will not leaveyou in the ditch to fall, but will ascend you even unto Himself and say: Thou hast

    done well

    11.A robber at night taketh with him a torch to see the way. But who will guide him whenthe light is quenched? He seeth naught and is delivered to the watchmen.

    12.Pray and fast in due season that the Lord may open your two eyes to see the road.13.Though a righteous man die early, his deed is not wasted. But the wicked dieth and

    people celebrate against his departure.

    14.Do not trust the lies many chiefs preach unto you, for it will lead thee astray, for theyare an ungodly people. And do no right.

    15.A man can be physically blind, and yet a seer. And another can have the eyesglowing to see the sun, yet seeth not.

    16.The power of the Spirit is in man to discern truth from lies, but what can give sight tothee save the all-Seeing, Who is God?

    17.As time passes, so does night and day befall. He that walketh in the night beholddarkness, and he that walketh in the day behold light. But there is safety for those

    who see in both (times).

    18.Stand still saith the Lord to the transgressor and they will not move for they are indarkness. But the upright moveth merrily without a blockade.

    19.Deceive not the people nor thyself, for your deceit will end you in hellfor it isdarkness.

    20.Light gives sight and darkness gives blindness. As for the upright, he is ever seeing.And as for the crooked, the path of light is not his.

    21.Believe in God first, and trust in godly men and their unions, for they spare thee nohurt. But he that walketh close to the pit while unseeing will fall therein.

    22.Pass the cup of pure wine unto thine brother that he may drink therein, and never sayI spare it not for greed darkens the heart. And in the heart is sight, or no sight.

    23.God increaseth in right guidance those who walk aright, and the good deed thatendureth is better in thine Lords sight for reward and better for resort. (Mary)

    15.(Those who write)

    1. Blessed is the man who pondereth what he writeth and lay no confusion into it. Hewill be as one taught by the Lord to make no mistakes but to write what is true for

    men to benefit therefrom.

    2. To write an inspiration from the Al-mighty requires no thinking, but he that confusesmen misleads himself.

    3. There are two things that are sure, the creation of the heavens and the creation ofthe earth. But he that giveth right answers to hidden matters is well taught of the

    Lord.

    4. Never read the books of magic and their interpretation. It increaseth naught savedisbelief.

    5. He that writeth in the true light and never obscure truth have founded his treatise ona solid rock which will never break (to two).

    6. Never trust the writing of the deceitful for in it wrought great corruption and his way isperverse.

    7. He that trust the Lord, the Lord will teach him what to speak and write at all times.8. Revelations are revealed to prophets, and the Lord speaketh through them. He that

    heareth and believeth what they preach is with them. He that considereth their writing

    and believeth therein is also with them. But the doubters are ever in schism.

    9. Believe in what is written of truth and turn not to falsehood for it leadeth no wheresave hell.

    10.The love of wise words though they be admonishment increaseth man in good deedsand fear for the Lord.

    11.Show the way unto the poor and he may get it. Write in the way of peace and manywill benefit therefrom.

    12.He that writeth to destroy judgment is (forever) banished from entering the heavenlyhome.

    13.A little intelligence and much wisdom are better than fine gold and ornaments puttogether.

    1. Give thanks unto the Lord, and your happiness will be increased.2. A happy heart is that which merry even on the day of the feast, and he that loveth

    men for good is ever happy.

    3. Reduce not in weight the grain ye purposed to sell a buyer, but fill the measure anddelay not abundance, for in each there is a reward.

    4.

    Forgive him who wrongeth thee and seek forgiveness. Yearn ye not that God mayforgive you? The Lord is merciful and loving.

    5. He who honoreth his father when he indeed be doing, honoreth his Lord much more.He that disobeyeth his mother while she enjoineth good, let him die now.

    6. Destroy not the land of the weak, and be no tyrants. Lo! The Lord is mightier thanthee.

    7. Show kindness unto orphans and the weak among menfor in them are theblessings of thine Lord.

    8. The best in conduct is the most beloved of the Lord. A righteous king who loveth hissubjects oppresseth them not, but showeth much compassion and love.

    9. Understanding the road to life ends well. He that finishes first is not victorious, but hethat ends well surely has a station ascending.

    10.The Lord is my Sheppard no drink or food do I want but He giveth me. Therefor, beye thankful that ye may receive more.

    11.The trials from the Lord are passed by the steadfast, but he that has no faith failethall tests.

    12. Adorn thine wife and children with ornaments. And the wife of the king is truly thequeen at heart.

    13.If you desire a woman, tell her and let her know. If she desire youshe will waveback.

    14.Do not trust in lies and evil for all these hurts the heart of a feeble mind, even that ofthe strongbut do ye trust in the Lord and His faithful servant that ye may grow in

    grace.

    15.Compassion hath a religion (Christianity) and firmness hath a religion (Islam andJudaism) but in all these three the Lord hath chosen for you that ye should serve Him

    Only.

    16.Consider the word of the wise, there is no froward speaking.17.Sleep a little at night and pay much devotion. Lo! The Lord loveth he who strives.

    1. He that trusteth in falsehood and foundeth his nation on it is bound to perishfor theLord giveth her reign for a while.

    2. They may talk, they may speakbut he that challengeth the Al-mighty will not lastlong.

    3. The truth is clear, thread ye this path and no other. For after truth there is naughtsave falsehood.

    4. The Lord showeth you the way, and thine own heart inspireth thee to do good if ye berighteous, not so is the wickedfor all their paths are made obscure and cannot see

    the true light.

    5. The Lord founded the earth and the seven heavens in truthbut what can beunderstood save this?

    6. He that believeth in falsehood will fall on the way to ascension, but he that trusteth intruth will walk therein, secured.

    7. The truth is the way, it is the light of the world. Follow thou the path, for he that liethfaileth without contention.

    8. The chiefs among men confuse the way, but the seer recognizes their scheme andhis Lord saveth him for he understood.

    9. If the world be good, it is for the favor of mankind. But if the world be wicked, it isagainst their match. And that the Lord may shew thee things to come, trust in Him.

    10.Those given to sight and hearing in this life are saved. Those who walk in darknessand deafness are blind and dumb their paths are destroyedyet they realize it not.

    11.Avoid evil at all times, and do goodthat is closer to truth.12.When you hear me speaking know I speak the truth, for the Lord named me; truthful.13.Do not drag about your good merit for there can be others better than you. And do

    not say Ye cannot reach me for the Lord loveth not men who boast openly.

    14.Humble thyself towards the Lord, and He may raise thee high.

    15.The prophet said: Truth has come and falsehood has vanished away, lo! Falsehoodis ever bound to vanish Do you consider what he saith? Live now.

    16.He that destroyeth a godly union between husband and wife has burdened himselfwith destitution in the hereafter.

    17.Show kindness unto kinsfolk, and the needy and the poor. Lo! This is true. Falsehoodsaith: No

    18.(The repentance which is true)

    1. He that seeketh the forgiveness of the Lord after a wrong and repeateth not the crimehas surely covenanted that which will not break. And his Lord can forgive him.

    2. Turn ye in sincere repentance this day towards Him that made theethat ye mayfind mercy.

    3. He that wrongeth his soul and pusheth the blame upon the innocent hath burdenhimself with a crime that is fragrantand its odor is wicked.

    4. O believers, turn all of you towards forgiveness to your Lord and He may have mercyupon you. Lo! I give you good advice. (Sadiq)

    5. He that sacrificeth a sheep unto a lying god will not be forgiven. But he thatsacrificeth such unto the One True God will find mercy from Him.

    6. Seduce not yourself into evil but seek forgiveness of a wrong, and do good that yemight achieve great success.

    19.(It befalls at day timeA scroll of Sadiq1).

    1. On the day when mankind are gathered unto their Lord. He will say: Verily, We haveresurrected thee even as We created you at the first, but ye thought there will be no

    tryst for you.

    2. On that day man will cry: Where is it that I may flee?3. They have no refuge on that day save he whom the Beneficent show mercy.4. Therefor O believers, pray unto Allah Only making religion pure for Him even though

    the disbelievers may be averse to the call.

    5.

    And Allah had promised you victory in the world and victory in the hereafter. Lo! Thevictory of Allah cometh soonbut most men know not.

    6. He who trusteth in the Beneficent findeth favor with his Lord. For the disbelieversthere is no way.

    7. He it is who created you in pairs, some among you hath He caused to be keepers ofothers. Is it then the favors of their Lord they deny?

    8. He who increaseth in good works, Allah will cause in his heart to bear fruit. Andhappy is indeed the man who pays heed to the right adviser.

    9. The night befalls, and so does the day. And the moon glows, so does the sun shine.It is not that the night should outstrip the day, nor the day to outstrip the night. All flow

    each in an orbit.

    10.Therefore O mankind! Believe in thine Lord before the inevitable day reacheth you for in that day will ye be sundered.

    11.Those who be friends will become foes one unto another saving those who kept theirallegiance unto Allah.

    12.And trust in Allah, and believe in His messengers. And if they ask thee O Sadiq, Areyou a messenger? Say unto them: I tell you a certain truth which none deny save

    the wanton.

    13.Therefore believe. That is better, and he that doth a good deed, it will be recorded forhim, while he that doth evilis recorded against him. And We are never unaware of

    what ye do.

    14.Give the kinsfolk his due, and the parent if they be needy, and the orphans and thewayfarers. And love those who do good, and warn the wicked from his waythus

    Allah speaketh that ye may know.

    15.Therefore is the level set plain. Can the understanding be compared to the dumb? Orcan light be compared to darkness? Take ye heed and pay attention unto his speech,

    for that is better for you saith Allah.

    16.And of the Christians and some among the Jews believe in your writing O Sadiq, andsome among those who say: We are believers And there is none to deny thee save

    the disbelievers in truth, for thou art truthful.

    17.At night time pray unto thine Lord, and even during the daymeditate His praise andbe ye humble. And that verily is right action but most men know not.

    18.And that the promises of Allah may be fulfilled, wait gently. For ye cannot hasten athing, and We are in control of all things.

    19.And though some among them see thee, they see not. And some among them hearthee, but they hear not. This have We caused that he that is impure may not attain

    purity. And he that is of contrive heart and pure in devotion may attain greater station.

    20.And We will not utterly ignore mankind without them laying account of what they do.Are We not the runners (of their affair)? Say: Unto my Lord belongeth all power, will

    you thenjoin gods with Him? Say: I join no gods with Allah, for He is Allah, the One,

    the Almighty.

    21. We are best aware of what they say concerning thee (O Sadiq). And some amongthem attribute madness towards thee. Even so have they attributed the same unto

    many messengers We sent before, but will they win?

    22.Say: He who believeth in truth findeth his way. But he who disbelieveth in the truthwhen it cometh unto him is guilty and cannot find a way. Will you then be of the

    believers?

    23.Allah is it Who created you, and your like of the flying creatures and the beast of theland and the sea. Nothing have We neglected in the book of Our decrees. And then

    unto Him they will be returned.

    24.Say: O mankind! Your Lord hath bided you naught save you serve and worship yourLord. And that ye do good unto the neighbors of kin, and unto neighbors not of kin,

    and that ye remain steadfast on the path without ye consulting lying gods on the

    surface of the earth, which cannot help thee nor save.

    25.He it is who created you from dust, and then created you in the wombs of yourmothers by a gushing fluid from the loins and ribsand then perfected your shapes.

    Naught is as His likeness, and He is Able to do all things.

    26.And of His Signs is this, ye power on your devices, and turn off ye themand thereis no power. Can one be equated to zero? Thus have We revealed it that ye may

    reflect.

    27.And when thine brother speaks to thee (O Sadiq) he laugheth to scorn and saith: Butwhy should your scroll be long as this (in writing). Say unto him: Lo! As for me I

    cannot do you hurt nor profit you save that which Allah willeth. My Lord inspireth in

    truth and thus have I written. I dwelt with you a long-time before it came unto me.

    And I tell no lie.

    28. And the Unseen is only known by Allah. No man knoweth that which he earnstomorrow, nor knows for certain the land which he die. Lo! Allah is the Knower of all

    things.

    29.We shall increase thee in wisdom (O Sadiq) be not afraid of what they say, for Wehave made thee strong, and your face is hard against the disbelieversthough they

    abhor.

    30.And while ye write your brother numbereth the writing saying: Write ye this certainnumber of verses and let it end. But truly he hath no sense, though he thinketh

    himself wise.

    31.Indeed We will make thy path easy in life, and ease thee of the burden. Lo! Allahsmercy encompasseth round about you (O Sadiq).

    32.Therefor, be grateful unto your Lord, that He hast preferred thee above many.33.On the day the event befalleth, they who hope not for the meeting with Us will stark

    with fear, for their end indeed as come.

    34.Therefor, be patient and watch them a while. We will visit them with that which theyknew not.

    1. The Scroll of Sadiq is a replica of the Koran but to a lower degree, since stories ofthe prophets of old are not told in them. But lays much emphasizes on truth only.
