A note from the Administrator
Dear friends, Two serious acts of vandalism over the last two years (the most recent was the beheading of the beau ful outside Fa ma statue) have made our parish more vigilant, and more commi ed to security. I am happy to report that Perimeter Protec on and Surveillance Systems has installed 8 security cameras inside church and at key places outside. Our finance commi ee opted for an ac ve security system. Yes these cameras will carefully record all ac vi es on our premises. But in addi on … if there is unusual ac vity on the premises, or normal ac vity at strange hours … the cameras will immediately
p off a live person in a security center … who will the promptly call the Chino police if necessary. Our “Cadillac” security system is expensive ($230.00 per month), but probably necessary. In the mean me, we pray for those who wish our church well … and those who wish us harm. Peace, All Good! Fr. Mike PS Speaking of security, it’s me to remind everyone to keep a close eye on our children. For instance, if they need a bathroom break, please make sure an adult is always with them.
Es mados amigos, Debido a los dos actos graves de vandalismo en los úl mos dos años (el más reciente fue la decapitación de la hermosa estatua exterior de Fá ma) han hecho que nuestra Parroquia esté más vigilante y más comprome da referente a seguridad. Me complace informar que se instalaron unos Sistemas de Vigilancia y Protección Perimetral, y que se han colocado 8 cámaras de seguridad dentro de la Iglesia y en algunos lugares clave en la parte de afuera. Nuestro comité de finanzas optó por un sistema de seguridad ac vo. Sí, estas cámaras registrarán cuidadosamente todas las ac vidades en nuestras instalaciones. Pero además ... si hay alguna ac vidad inusual en el local, o hay alguna ac vidad normal a horas inapropiadas ... las cámaras avisarán inmediatamente a una persona ac va, en un centro de seguridad ... que llamará de inmediato a la policía de Chino si es necesario. Nuestro sistema de seguridad "Cadillac" es costoso ($ 230.00 por mes), pero probablemente sea necesario. Mientras tanto, recemos por aquellos que desean el bien para nuestra Iglesia ... y por aquellos que desean dañarnos. Paz, todo bien! P. Mike PD. REBUILD, REFRESH, RENEW UDATES:
Already done: Small church bathrooms received better fixtures, wall and hardware.
In process right now: School is getting new floors, windows, cabinets, IT,
outside learning area. (Thanks to the Shea Foundation)
Next on the list: New Fatima statue and prayer areas. Projects of this size feel like they take forever, and are sooo expensive… but worth it, since we aim to ensure a vibrant Catholic presence here for decades to come.

SMM Library has a treasure trove of religious books, CDs, DVDs, and prayer devotionals for adults and
children. Thanks to our parish, it is steadily growing in donated items.
Our Library is here to assist and encourage you to seek and find greater knowledge and love of God
through the published works and wisdom of spiritual writers, musicians, and filmmakers. Visit our parish
library and see what it has to offer you. Open on Sundays after 7 am Mass until noontime.

St. Margaret Mary Men's Bible Fellowship We will start our Winter / Spring Session on Thursday, January 30th., at 7:00 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Building (room B). We meet together for a meal and break bread, we begin with a prayer to the Holy Spirit and review the weekly designated scripture. A summary is provided and each individual can share his thoughts, as we learn from each others perspectives. Our study is nine weeks and is "Mary, Virgin, Mother, and Queen". Fr. Pacwa enlightens, clarifies, and challenges Catholics to have a renewed devotion to the Blessed Mother, through whom we are drawn nearer to Christ. Year 3 retreat paperwork and payment are due in February… Please turn in paperwork as soon as possible.
The weekend of March 6th – 8th over 70 teens from our confirmation program will attend retreat in Big Bear.
Many will embrace their weekend with joy and openness and allow the goodness of God to work in their lives.
Please pray for us over that weekend and join us for the retreat Mass at St. Margaret Mary at 5:00pm on March 8th.
Year 3 Confirmation retreat is coming soon!
Sacrament of Confirmation Dates
We have officially been assigned our date for Confirmation by the Bishop.
Here are the details for our current year 3 participants:
Confirmation Rehearsal (St. Margaret Mary Church) Monday, April 20th, 2020 7:00pm – 8:00pm Sponsors and students must attend. If the Sponsor is unable to attend the rehearsal, a parent or guarding must stand in for the sponsor.
For those who attend Monday class. Tuesday, April 28th, 2020 7:00pm – 8:30pm
For those who attend Tuesday class Wednesday, April 29th, 2020 7:00pm – 8:30pm
