Hello Monbulk Pony Club!
Can you believe it's been a whole month with
your new committee. Thank you to everyone
that has taken on a role. MPC over the pastfew years has run on a very slim committee
and it is very pleasing to see this club with allroles filled. The future is very bright and it
demonstrates to me that we have a strong
commitment to our riders.
I would like to thank the club and it's membersfor my nomination which I accept fully. I bring
to this club commitment, passion and energy.
Pony Club is about our riders ( my No.1 focus) coming together to ride, learn, follow a
passion, challenge themselves and worktogether to achieve their personnel goals
regardless if they compete or not. Pony Club
should be fun, a place to come together to doyour best, make strong friendships and make
those dreams happen. It is up to us thecommittee to provide our riders these
opportunities and help them achieve these
personnel goals in the best possibleenvironment that offers learning, support,
encouragement and FUN!!!!!
RIDERS: to you I ask for the following
commitment, that you do your best at alltimes, that you give it ago even when it's
something you don't enjoy , support eachother, show respect to everyone, don't give up
on what you want to achieve as each of you
can make anything happen if you staycommitted to yourself. It is up to you to let me
know what you need in order to achieve thosegoals ( some things we can make happen &
other things we can get you the right guidance
).Remember to do the rally feedback eachmonth so that you each can get the most out
of the rallies and our D.C can plan to give youthe best rallies possible.....
FROM ME: each of you will receiveencouragement, drive, enthusiasm and fun.
We will celebrate those wins and when thosechallenges arise I will be there to support
you through them.
I ask everyone at MPC to be supportive to the
committee and each other. MPC will
experience changes over the next twelvemonths as it moves forward. Change is
coming to our sporting association and asPresident of MPC I want to ensure that our
club benefits from those changes. We will
draw from past experience, keep core values,be true to ourselves, embrace change in order
to flourish and ensure our riders achieve theirgoals.
A month has already gone by and some of ushave been very busy with the following:
• A Huge WELCOME to our new club
members this includes new riders joining
our RWOH program.• Working Bee this Saturday 4th May
8.30am - 2.30pm, Thank you to those thathave already rsvp a yes to help, if you can

will be a list at the May Rally.
• May Rally will include two celebrations 80years of Pony Club in Australia and

participate in, which I hope you all enjoy!

Hello all, and welcome to the May Mothers Day rally!
Thank-you to those who came to support my nomination and
appointment as DC for the MPC for the next 12 months. I am looking
forward to planning what I hope to be an exciting and challenging 12
months of rallies, with our talented instructors, and motivated new
committee!
This month we have the Polocrosse Victoria coming to show us what this
exciting equine sport is all about. Rally groups Friesian, Shetland and
Welsh will have an opportunity to participate in this clinic - it requires
members to be able to trot independently, as well as carry a racquet.
Rally group Clydesdale will have a special modified session with our very
adaptable instructor Liana, using lighter racquets.
If your pony/horse is known to kick out when being close to other
ponies, please let the Polocrosse instructors know as they will ask that
you keep a distance from the other riders for safety purposes.
I would like to encourage you all to 'have a go' at each of the sessions - I
know that it can sometimes be challenging to try something new, or out
of your comfort zone, but everything we do with our horses is helping our
riding, and our partnership with our horse.
Please let myself or your designated instructor if you have any concerns
about attending a particular session - we are there to help you, and we
will do what we can to make a session work for you and your horse/pony.
Finally - to all those awesome Mums who look after us, and get us to
pony club even on Mothers Day - thank-you, and have a wonderful day!!

ATTN Yard users
If you use our yards, please DO NOT throw manure
over the fence towards the road.
The area immediately behind our yards and up to
the road is one of the most important environmentalareas in the Yarra Valley. There is a rare species of
plant that has only been found in this one area. Ifyou throw manure into this area you will introduceweeds which may destroy this plant.
Our lease on the grounds will be cancelled if this
continues, and your club will have to relocate.
PLEASE remove any manure you may have
accidentally left behind in the past. The area on theroadside of the yards must be kept manure free.
PLEASE put all manure in our dedicated manureyard.
