The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program was designed to identify the state's top youth volunteers. Thank you Aiden for your volunteer work and for being an important and valued role model for our community. Wish Week Pinnacle students set a 'Wish Week' goal to raise $5,000.00 for Make-a-Wish. We exceeded that goal raising over $8,000.00!!! THANK YOU for all the support! So proud to be a part of Pinnacle and the PHS community! Pinnacle Key Club On Saturday, February 27, Pinnacle Key Club held a food, toiletry, clothing, and toy drive for the Harvest Compassion Center, a food and clothing bank that meets the needs of families in the Phoenix/Maryvale area who may be going through hardship. In total, these kids collected and donated approximately 20 boxes of items for this worthy cause. These are some of the most hard-working, self-sufficient students I've ever worked with, and they deserve some recognition! Way to go, Key Club! PHS DECA has worked hard to overcome this year's obstacles and I'm so proud of their accomplishments at the AZDECA State competition that was held over the weekend. This year's state conference was held over a 2 week period. Starting with written business proposal submissions, a 100 question comprehensive exam, role-play case-study video creation and uploads, then virtual final uploads. It all culminated in the closing ceremonies where we had a "watch party" on Saturday afternoon. It's worth all the effort though, here are this year’s competition results! 58 competitors (largest chapter, once again), 44 qualified for International Competition in 29 different disciplines! We are once again the largest chapter going to the International competition. Of the 44 qualifiers, 14 are FIRST PLACE!!! in 13 different categories. Two of our competitors DOUBLE qualified. Congrats to Elena Mao (Jr) on becoming a member of next year’s AZDECA 6- 6-member State Officer Team. And we said goodbye to Aakash Kakkar (Sr), this year’s State President. We are proud to announce Pinnacle DECA was awarded AZDECA Outstanding Chapter of the Year! Please be sure to congratulate these hard workers for their accomplishments.
