OSS is a yearly event organized by Ozone Power and Ozone dealers and friends in different locations around the World. The OSS is designed to be a fun and friendly event for PPG pilots to experience slalom flying, and competition. Slalom competitions have grown in popularity recently, and the Ozone Slalom Series puts pros and amateurs together in a friendly learning environment. Ozone Team Pilots such as Alex Mateos, Emilia Plak are supervising the event giving tips and instruction on the best techniques for Slalom flying, and PPG flying in general. The OSS creates safe environment and an open opportunity to anyone, who is interested to try this kind of flying, to learn proper flying technic since the beginning. Pilots at the event are able to demo Ozone wings, including the new Ozone Slalom. We hope to see you at an Ozone Slalom Open event in the future, stay tuned for the dates and location of future events. Please check out this video to see more of what the Slalom Open is all about: vimeo.Com/ozone/sLaLomopen

Since 2009, Ozone has been at the forefront of international competition due to significant leaps forward in paraglider design by our R&D Team. The 2014 range of Ozone wings contains elements of our competition winning designs in every glider for pilots of all abilities, and we have made new breakthroughs in the Intermediate, sport, and high performance classes.

We haven’t stopped working, and our gliders have continued to advance. We’re very excited to introduce some significant improvements in our new wings for 2014, which feature exciting advancements in super-low-drag line-plans, profiles, and in-flight characteristics. We’re not only increasing the performance of our wings – of even greater importance to us is the True Performance, the usability and feel of your glider in real XC conditions.

8NONSTOp INNOVaTION

OzONE SLaLOM SERIES

Innovation is our passion… and nothing turns us on more than a creative idea that actually works – and what we mean by “works”, is a piece of technology that has the potential to make our sport safer and more fun at the same time. The patented Shark Nose is one such idea. This development was driven by our successful open class research program, which is on-going and continues to generate exciting design features which can be used in our range of serial class wings for pilots of all levels.

Originally the brain child of Luc Armant and Fred Pieri in early 2011, the Shark Nose evolved from a rough idea and a sketch into a performance and stability enhancing design feature through the combined efforts of the Ozone R&D Team. This innovative feature can be found in the Rush 4, Delta 2 and Mantra M6. The Shark Nose’s striking appearance makes it clear that this is not your ordinary leading edge. The concave section of the leading edge “blocks” the stagnation point, and greatly improves the internal pressure of the wing, allowing the use of far smaller intake ports. Smaller intakes allow the canopy to maintain better internal pressure, and thus better performance, at extreme angles (high and low) of attack. Basically, a wing with Shark Nose technology will have a cleaner, smoother, more highly pressurized leading edge structure in accelerated flight (and slow flight). Faster + more stable = fun. To read an in depth article about this design feature, check out the “Learn” section on

The reflex profile, used in paramotor wings since the late 90’s, has been considered the best known solution for speed with a certain level of solidity and comfort in flight, but at the same time has been associated with negative features such as poor performance, handling, and difficulty to launch in nil wind.

The Ozone R&D Team, having many years of experience in designing top class paragliding wings, has been working hard to develop the very special Ozone Reflex Profile: OZRP.

The aim was to keep the excellent performance in sink rate and glide of our paragliders, the lightness and ease of inflation, the “Ozone” touch in the handling, while adding the ability to reach very high speeds with high stability.

In 2005, the Viper was the first OZRP wing which we felt had a perfect balance. The Viper offers high stability at high speed, while maintaining great flying characteristics with an excellent sink rate, glide ratio, and a very precise feeling. Since their first PPG Championship in 2005 piloted by Mathieu Rouanet, the Viper has become a legendary championship winning wing.

Nowadays OZRP Technology can be found in a range of Ozone paramotor wings from the low intermediate Roadster, more advanced Speedster, to the expert competition wings such as the Viper 2 and Slalom as well as all new soon to be released models.

Ease of take off, precise handling, stable speed, and collapse recovery are just as important in PPG as they are in paragliding. The motor allows us to push the concepts differently but at the end of the day a recognised level of safety and ease of use will ensure that pilots get the pleasure and the performance we are all seeking!

* Gimmick; to equip or embellish with unnecessary features, especially in order to increase saleability, acceptance, etc. ** Acronym; a word formed from the initial letters or groups of letters of words in a set phrase or series of words, as in BS from Bull Shit.

Technology is the future, there is no doubt. But what is the difference between technology and gimmicks? The answer is marketing. We spend more of our time testing and designing wings than we do marketing them. We just prefer it that way.

The hard truth is that the most important features in a wing are invisible. Sail tension, for instance, has a massive effect on performance and handling at every point of your glider’s flight range. But you can’t touch it with your fingers, or point to it in a photo. The amount of internal construction (and thus weight) affects everything from launching to incident recovery. And the amount of lines on your wing is crucial to drag and glide performance. We won’t be inventing marketing schemes to push our breakthroughs in any of these categories, but we think that you’ll feel them in the wing. Call us simple, but we like it that way. That being said, even Black Sheep sometimes want to join in the fun that the rest of the flock is having, and since everyone else has names for their gimmicks we’ve decided to add some of our own:

We’ve rolled all of the technology above into our 2014 range, which we would like to introduce to you now, so read on. As always, the most up to date info on all of our wings can be found at www.flyozone.com. Please subscribe to our RSS newsfeed, and find us on Facebook as well. Onward !

BLaCk sheep TeChnoLogy: it’s not bS, it’s bSt. For some, technology is a gimmick*. For us, gimmicks are for laughs, and we take technology seriously. Some try to hide their gimmicks by giving them technical sounding acronyms**, and now we’ve decided to use some acronyms because the boss asked why we didn’t have any!

what sets us apart from our competition is a distinct lack of gimmicks. we realize that. but we’re fine with being different - it’s been that way from the beginning and we prefer it that way. in fact, 15 years ago in 1998, ozone was founded with black Sheep technology.

The ozone fun sysTem: it’s a novel concept, and we’re proud to have been the first to develop it. the Fun system has two main ingredients: You, and your wing. this system allows you to explore and experience the planet, and we recommend that you use it as frequently as possible. the Fun system will help you to remember that pleasure should always be the motive! we fly because it’s Fun.

o.p.p. (ozone performanCe projeCT) You may have already been asked at one point… Are you up with opp? At ozone, we’re totally up with opp. initiated in 2006, the ozone performance project spawned the bbhpp, which won the overall pwC title in 2009. the R10, R11, and EnZo went on to win several more consecutive overall pwC titles, in addition to countless national and international championships. today, more pilots fly ozone in competition than any other brand, worldwide.

The Bh / LBh sysTems: now it’s time to get serious. Seriously. not that we weren’t serious before. but check this out: A few years ago we invented the butthole, and we’re really proud of it. we use our buttholes a lot, and we think it’s an exceedingly useful piece of technology that no one should be without. And now we’ve taken it to a whole new level with the release of the Leaky butthole. this new piece of technology allows you to leave your butthole open to drain sand when dune soaring, or to allow debris to clear from your wing automatically while in flight. it’s just another piece of hardcore technology from your friends at ozone.

SPARKthe Spark is the ideal choice for your first paramotor flights. in the beginning, paramotoring can feel complicated and cumbersome, and the Spark is designed to make your first flights as safe and simple as possible, with an incredibly easy launch and highly forgiving in-flight characteristics. Simply put, with the Spark, your ppG progression will be faster and more enjoyable.

ThE LauNChthe ozone R&D team includes several paragliding and paramotoring instructors with a deep understanding of the characteristics needed to launch safely and easily. with a smooth and progressive feel, the Spark transmits a gentle but positive pressure through the risers so that you can feel exactly where it is at all times during the launch. while forward or reverse launching, the wing has no tendency to overshoot or hang back, and rises overhead with minimal effort. thanks to an optimized sail construction the glider is both light and strong. A pitch-stable profile ensures a gentle rise and easy ground-handling.

IN fLIghTin the air the Spark is a joy to fly, with intuitive handling and a balanced and progres-sive feel in the turn. the brake pressure builds continuously as it is applied, with extremely clear feedback as the glider nears the stall point. After much testing and development, we have managed to make the brake range very long, minimising the likelihood of accidental stalls, whilst still retaining agile handling and easy landing characteristics. the progressive nature of the handling gives the Spark great turning behaviour with or without weight-shift; which is an ideal characteristic in a motor wing. the Spark has a large usable speed range; at full speed the leading edge re-mains solid, even in turbulence. it is very damp in pitch, which helps it to cut through turbulence efficiently, and also makes it very resistant to deflations with excellent re-inflation characteristics. its high stability in pitch and roll creates an overall feeling of comfort and uncompromised safety in flight. Every launch is followed by a landing, and the Spark’s powerful flare makes ppG landings as easy as possible, even in no-wind conditions.

ThE pILOTthe Spark is the easiest and most reassuring ppG wing that we have ever flown, and we think it is the perfect choice for any aspiring ppG pilot’s entry to the sport. Any ppG pilot who wants the ultimate in simple launching, easy ground-handling, and uncompromised in-flight passive safety will enjoy the reassuring and enjoyable flight characteristics of the Spark. happy motoring, and don’t forget to let us know what you think! Cheers from all the team.

GROUNDHOGGround-handling is one of the most important aspects of paragliding progression. with the Groundhog, pilots can progress and learn the most basic or most advanced aspects of ground-handling in strong or light winds safely and easily.

•Because the groundhog is considerably smaller than a normal wing, it can be used for ground-handling training in higher wind, meaning that schools and students will lose less training days because of weather. also, the smaller size of the groundhog makes it easier to use. students are less likely to be dragged or picked up, and the wing’s quick reactions to brake input and footwork help to increase the progression of the pilot.

BUZZ PWRbased on the buzz Z4, the buzz pwR is a versatile wing that excels in both free and powered flight. Suitable for a wide range of pilots from talented beginners to the more experienced, it is certified En b in all sizes and is the ideal choice for those who want a one-wing solution for both free flying and paramotoring. Due to the specially designed power risers the buzz pwR is suitable for all types of paramotors and trikes and all hang point types. the risers feature with trimmers for fast cruising, double pulleys for adjusting brake line lengths and magnetic brake connectors.

the design of the buzz pwR incorporates many of the performance enhancing features found in the latest XC and competition wings such as the Delta2, Enzo and R12. the buzz pwR is an extremely efficient wing with a low minimum sink rate and high maximum glide ratio. this makes it suitable for long XC’s and high climb outs. Fuel consumption levels are very low allowing flights that are longer, higher and further!

Special attention has been made to the launching characteristics - the inflation is smooth and constant, the wing comes up directly overhead without shooting in strong winds nor lagging behind in light winds. the good sink rate performance and low take off speeds enables quick and easy launches.

the buzz pwR is pitch stable and comfortable. in active air the wing feels highly compact, giving gentle and predictable feedback and filtering air movements in an understandable way. it is well damped in pitch, this helps it cut through turbulence efficiently making it very resistant to deflations and improving the re-inflation characteristics. the large usable speed range means that high cruise speeds are possible whilst at full speed the leading edge remains solid.

handling has been refined to give the highest possible amount of agility and thanks to the progressive nature of the brake travel, roll and yaw are perfectly coordinated - centering on lift has never been easier!

For pilots looking for a paragliding/paramotoring wing that they can progress with, the buzz pwR is the ideal choice.

ROADSTERthe Roadster was created for a wide range of intermediate paramotor pilots, ranging from XC distance fliers to ground skimmers and adventure pilots. it is a paramotor specific glider, with characteristics similar to the Viper but with an overall much higher ease of use.

the Roadster is for a wide range of intermediate and advanced paramotor pilots who want a reassuring amount of stability and a good cruising speed. the Roadster’s oZRp technology (ozone Reflex profile) means that it is more stable in accelerated flight than a normal free-flight wing.

Special attention was put into the launching characteristics of the Roadster. the inflation is smooth and constant in any wind speed, and the wing comes up directly overhead without shooting in high winds or lagging behind in no wind, all of which means that your time will be spent enjoying your flight, not struggling with your launch.

the Roadster can also be flown without a motor. its sink rate is low enough to soar in light lift, thermal in all conditions, and fly cross country. Although it is designed for pilots who fly majority (if not exclusively) under power, the Roadster performs excellently unpowered as well.

we hope that intermediate and Advanced pilots will appreciate the easy launches, stable flights, and the high top speeds of this wing, which is designed to allow you to enjoy the flight without worrying about your wing.

the ozone Roadster and indy are two of the first wings to pass the tests necessary for the DmSV certification. we are pleased to announce that the Roadster m has received DmSV b: (without accelerator) DmSV-mS-5009-08. the Roadster is also certified En C with accelerator.

REVIEWS“I have flown the roadster 5 times now and absolutely love it, I feel like a rockstar with the speed tighter turning all while feeling completely comfortable. I can easily launch in reverse with very light wind!”-paul VanGroll, uK

“The Roadster is a wing for a large public, from beginners to experienced pilots, who don’t want to “fight” with fast wings that can be difficult to take-off and that are demanding in rough-air”

Designer’s noTesThE CONCEpT •a pure ppg wing for everyone, with an intermediate certification and technology from the world champion viper.

•The design targets: easy launch, en certification, agile handling and in flight stability, and ozrp technology for high speed stability.

fEaTuRES •ozrp Technology.

•The roadster is the first intermediate glider with ozrp Technology, which we think yields the best combination of high top speed, stability, and handling. ozone’s hybrid reflex profile allows easy launches and agile handling, with confidence at higher cruising speeds.

•passive safety: one unique aspect of the ozrp Tech is its high passive safety. The roadster received mostly en-B ratings in the en safety tests, with en-C in accelerated flight. The roadster is currently the safest reflex wing available with en certification.

•glide and sink rate performance: The performance and sink rate of the ozrp has been thoroughly proven by the viper and its countless wins in international Competition, including world and european Championship titles. speed is considered to be the most important factor in a paramotor wing, but a fast wing without good glide performance and a low sink rate is like a car with high horsepower and 4 flat tires. The high efficiency of the ozrp means lower fuel consumption, better thermalling capabilities, easier launches, and softer landings.

•This is the future of paramotoring: reflex speed with the efficiency of a free flight wing.

•The planform: The combination of aspect ratio and cell number and a balanced arc make the roadster very easy to handle.

•The Launch: after almost a decade of designing free flight wings that are as easy as possible to launch, the roadster has a light and smooth inflation, and a compact and forgiving feeling while ground-handling. with 45 cells and a segmented diagonal system, the roadster has a very light sail which makes launching far easier.

•precise panel shaping and the spanwise tension strap create the comfort necessary for an intermediate wing. This is also one of the keys to the agile handling of the roadster, which is crisp, direct, but maintains a long brake range and forgiveness during take off and during slow turns.

•Double hanging points, so you can use the one the most appropriate for your motor. The speed system has 12cm of travel and allows a high increase in speed, all with en Certification.

•The ozone ppg risers also have rear-riser trimmers with a 10cm range, for pilots who want additional speed without en Certification.

SPEEDSTERthe Speedster is an all new full reflex paramotor wing developed with bbhpp and R10 technology. the development of the Speedster was guided by feedback from paramotor pilots all over the world – feedback from you. it seems that you want what we want – a very fast, stable wing that retains a good level of agility and passive safety.

the Speedster’s evolution took time, and a large number of prototypes. As the bbhpp and R10 projects progressed so did the Speedster. the final result is, we think, an exciting new wing for ppG pilots from intermediate to expert ability.

in paramotor flying, speed is key. unfortunately, as the amount of reflex increases in a wing, certain other parameters suffer: namely, ease of launch, quality of handling, fuel efficiency, and passive safety. those categories, for us, are extremely important in any wing and are not to be compromised. therefore, perfecting these characteristics while retaining a very high top speed was our mission with the development of the Speedster.

SpEEDEvery size of the Speedster is fast, as the design parameters have been scaled perfectly from the smallest to the largest size. in smooth conditions, a large trim range allows you to easily cruise at high speeds without the accelerator system engaged. however, when it’s time to pass your friends, super smooth Ronstan pulleys and a carefully calibrated 3 riser speed system accelerates the Speedster without deforming the profile, unlike other ppG wings. this means that, in trimmed and accelerated positions, the Speedster stands in a class of its own in terms of efficiency, handling, and passive safety.

LauNChthe Speedster is the easiest fully reflexed wing that we have ever launched. Leading edge reinforcements in the style of the bbhpp and R10 maintain the structure of the leading edge during the launch process, aiding inflation and causing the wing to come up in a compact and coordinated configuration. the Speedster inflates evenly and with little effort in no wind conditions, and comes up steadily in high wind conditions as well.

haNDLINgAt ozone, handling is a top priority for us in every wing that we design, from our most basic school wing to our highest performance competition wing. handling is not just for fun, it’s a safety issue as well. many paramotor wings are designed to exploit the byproducts of a reflex design, and as a result can be sluggish and unresponsive, or prone to asymmetric stall. thousands of hours of testing and refinement have resulted in the Speedster’s agile and responsive handling. handling is safety: when flying in groups, near terrain, or while maneuvering close to the ground, it is crucial that your wing responds quickly and easily while providing usable feedback to the pilot.

STaBILITYit is possible to use the Speedster’s accelerator system in combination with the trimmer system, too. this configuration puts the Speedster profile into a very low angle of attack for high speed flight and should, of course, only be used in extremely calm

conditions. As with any ppG wing, for the safest flight configuration the speed bar should be used primarily, followed by the trimmers. however, experienced pilots can fly the Speedster safely in whatever configuration they prefer.

TIp STEERINgthe ozone ppG tip Steering system allows you to control your wing in an accelerated position safely and effectively, without the use of brakes. using brakes in highly accelerated positions is not ideal as it can counteract the reflex action in the wing and reduce the stability of the profile. the Speedster’s tip steering system is simple, efficient, and easy to use. A clean and convenient ‘closed’ steering system for the brakes and tip steering keeps your controls organized as you switch between them in flight and during launch and landing.

it has taken us some time, but we think we now have something that you’re going to like. our testing suggests that this new wing is a real pleasure to fly, with a surprisingly high top speed and a general ease of use that will appeal to paramotor pilots of intermediate to advanced ability.

SpEEDStER 16m & 19m now AVAiLAbLE

in the wake of the Speedster’s success, we have received a lot of demand from experienced ppG pilots for a smaller sized version of this successful wing. the new 16m & 19m Speedsters have En load test certifications (no flight tests) and deliver even more speed and agility than the larger sizes.

the 16m & 19m Speedsters are meant for experienced ppG pilots who are looking for a quick, agile wing with a high top speed. the 19m size retains all of the positive launch and handling characteristics of the larger sizes, with good comfort and stability in flight.

OzONE TEaM pILOT, MaThIEu ROuaNET, SaYS:“The Speedster is currently my wing of choice for most days of flying. It has excellent speed - it’s the fastest ppg wing that I have flown - but at the same time it has great agility and an easy launch. So it is a perfect blend of reflex stability, high speed, and Ozone ease of use. It is also good for a lot of pilots. I would feel comfortable giving the certified sizes of Speedster to beginner-intermediate pilots and also to experts who want a fast wing that is easy to launch. The Speedster 19 is the size that I am flying for many slalom events and competitions – the higher wingloading allows me to pull high speed turns and the overall stability of the wing is great in accelerated trim. The 19m is recommended just for experienced pilots.”

SLALOM4the new Slalom is a fast and agile wing for experienced pilots who want to carve tight turns at high speeds. based on our highly successful Speedster design, the Slalom provides a stable base for pilots who want to take their ppG flying to the next level, at competitions or just for fun. Although the Slalom was designed for competitive pylon racing pilots, it is ideal for any experienced pilot who is searching for new levels of agility, coupled with ease of use, stability, and excellent launch characteristics. the Slalom’s high-speed stability and comfort also makes it an ideal choice for high-speed XC flights.

the Slalom is designed for low level fun and distance speed racing. it offers high levels of handling, precision and speed, fully optimised for burning fast lines around tight courses or soaking up high speed XC kms.

it shares the same planform and profile as the Speedster and retains its ease of use, launch characteristics and levels of safety. the inflation is smooth and constant in any wind with the wing rising directly overhead without shooting in high wind or lagging behind in nil wind conditions. in the air the Slalom is pitch stable and comfortable, featuring a customised ozone Reflex profile (oZRp) that gives high levels of stability at lower angles of attack and makes it very collapse resistant even in turbulent air. the oZRp provides constant lift through a wide range of angles of attack allowing you to fly very fast or very slowly with confidence.

the Slalom’s small surface area and new line plan is designed to optimise handling and roll rates for a more dynamic, precise feel. it enters and exits turns quickly without ballooning and changes direction with ease making it the perfect wing for slalom racing and low level fun.

the Slalom risers come standard with the new “multi-ball” tip Steering System to allow rapid control inputs for agility at high speeds. the riser design remains uncluttered however, for simple operation both on the ground and in the air. the trimmers are easy to operate and the brakes can be used at any trim setting, even fully open, without increasing the risk of collapse.

Due to its high wing loading and comfortable in-flight characteristics, the Slalom is also perfectly suited to high-speed XC flights. At low angles of attack the wing is solid and collapse resistant, with an accelerator system that is smooth and progressive and that can be operated at any trim setting (even when the trimmers are fully closed). overall the speed range is vast, making it one of the fastest wings currently available.

the Slalom is designed for experienced pilots who fly regularly and are seeking a fun wing with uncompromised handling and speed.

VIPER 2the Viper is the world champion paramotor wing for expert pilots who fly in high level competitions and make advanced XC flights.

the Viper set the standard in the new milleneum of ppG competition with world Championship, European, and national titles and is doubtless the most successful competition wing of its time. now, the Viper 2 is available with increased top speed, a better glide ratio, and En certification. the central mission of the Viper 2 development was to not only improve every aspect of the Viper, but to get it into a wing that is certified En C. the first thing ppG pilots will notice is that the Viper 2 does not launch like a reflex wing… that is to say, it launches easily, inflating and rising over the pilot with incredible efficiency. in flight, the Viper 2 is considerably more comfortable than the original Viper with increased passive safety and agile, yet not overly-dynamic, handling. the speed and glide of the Viper 2 must be experienced (or seen) to be believed, and are superior by any comparison.

A special tip-steering system allows pilots to control the wing via the outer edges of the trailing edge at the wingtips while flying in accelerated modes. this allows for a safer and more efficient turn than when using the normal brakes.

the Viper 2 is at the absolute top of the ‘Reflex’ wing class, with an unbeatable combination of efficiency, speed, and safety. Reflex speed and free flight efficiency of the Viper 2, combined with passive safety and certification is an achievement that is attainable thanks to more than a decade of paraglider design and testing.

ozone’s experience in ram-air wing design and testing is almost unparalleled in the ppG world, and the Viper 2 is a perfect example, giving what we hope you will find is a stunning ppG wing. Get a demo to see what you think.

** now available in 20m size** the Viper 2 20m is a scaled down version of the normal Viper 2. it is not certified (load test only) and is meant for expert pilots only. this 20m size has long been a favorite of mathieu Rouanet for playful and fast ppG flying, and we are now making it widely available for qualified pilots. please speak with your local ozone Dealer if you feel that you are qualified to fly this wing.

Designer’s noTesThE CONCEpT •our mission was to create a certified, faster, more forgiving, more comfortable, and more stable viper with even better glide performance that is also available in more sizes. every paramotor pilot has dreamt of flying a viper, and now more of those pilots can realize their dream.

fEaTuRES •The profile and thickness have been revised in order to achieve a higher top speed and extreme stability as a result of an even more balanced amount of ‘reflex’.

•The size and position of the intakes have also been adjusted to achieve safer behaviour at high angles of attack and longer brake travel for a more forgiving feel.

•The aspect ratio has been reduced only slightly, making the wing more compact, easier to handle and more comfortable in all situations.

•a new internal structure with different line rigging and diagonals has created a 23% reduction in total line drag, which translates directly into better glide performance and fuel savings.

•The general tension of the wing has been redesigned with new tension straps along the span at the a’s and D’s, which create a very compact feel and allow the wing to be flown at higher speeds with comfort.

•we have also developed a new type of steering for use during high speed flying. The principle is simple: at high speeds you don’t want to influence the center part of the trailing edge because it creates lift and inverse roll. influencing the center is also not ideal because of the greater chance of collapse when touching the brakes at higher angles of attack (ideally you want turns to be flat and efficient via yaw only, without weakening the profile).

•The new viper 2 steering system creates a yaw turn via the wingtips, using a spare handle that is attached to the risers with a magnet. it is easy and safe to use at anytime. The turn is quick, coordinated, and very natural.

•now available in 3 sizes – 24 / 26 / 28 making it even easier to choose the correct size.

•The viper2 is now certified, making the best performance and competition wing accessible to even more pilots.

MAGMAXbased on the now famous magnum series, the magmax is specifically adapted to powered flight. it offers the same high levels of performance, handling, and ease of use that has made the magnum series the world’s bestselling tandem wing, but with special features specific to powered flight.

the easy launch and flight characteristics make the magmax an ideal choice for professional tandem instructors, but also part time weekend pilots. Due to the light sail, the magmax inflates easily in all wind conditions and is easy to control not only in the air but also on the ground. For trikes, the wing can be launched easily and cleanly without the use of the A risers. trike launch assist systems can be accommodated on the risers to further aid the launch. this easy, forgiving nature on the ground helps remove the stress from launches and allows you to concentrate more on the flying.

in the air, the magmax handles like a free flight wing with a light, direct feel through the brakes. the high levels of glide and climb efficiency, thanks to the high performance profile, moderate aspect ratio and low total line drag makes the magmax suitable for a wide range of motor and trike units. in many cases it is not necessary to have a particularly strong tandem motor since the wing produces enough lift for a modest amount of cc’s.

the high level of overall efficiency gives a smooth ride, with good behaviour in active conditions and easy landing characteristics, thanks to its powerful and progressive flare authority.

the riser system has been specifically designed for powered flight and features a shorter length with low split A and baby A risers for ease of use, tSt handles for high speed manoeuvrability, magnetic brake/tSt retainers (the height of which can be adjusted to suit the power unit and the pilot’s personal taste) and long adjustable trimmers for fast cruising speeds. the Spreader bars feature ozone’s Ear blocker System for easy and prolonged big Ear retention, for safe and easy descents.

tandem and trike ppG flying is exciting and fun, but is vastly easier and more enjoyable with the right tool for the job. the magmax is the easiest and most versatile wing that we have ever flown for this purpose. the simple launch characteristics, high comfort and speed range in the air, and excellent flare power all combine to make this wing our first choice for tandem and trike flying. Give it a try, and let us know what you think.

in 2014, ozone will be releasing two new wings: the Roadster 2, and Viper 3. both of these exciting new designs feature the ozone Reflex profile and our patented Sharknose technology.

Combining the ozRp and Sharknose technologies is a development that we think will prove to be as much of a revolution in the ppG world as the Sharknose has been for free flight wings from the intermediate to competition levels. the Sharknose profile not only vastly improves performance and stability at low (steep and fast) angles of attack, but also at high (slow speed) angles of attack and while during aggressive control inputs. Sharknose profiles have proven to be highly spin-resistant, with longer control ranges and more progressive handling, as well as with better stability in accelerated flight. it also aids inflation, and creates more forgiving launch characteristics. For more technical information on the Sharknose, please see:

http://downloads.flyozone.com/pdf/PG/ozone_shark_nose_en.pdf

the Roadster 2 is aimed to fulfill the demands of the many beginner-intermediate pilots entering the sport of ppG. with a focus on a simple and light inflation and an accessible and easy to manage high top speed, this is an excellent choice for new pilots who want an easy wing that they won’t soon grow out of.

Viper 3 is the newest edition of the legendary Viper series, which has won countless world, national, and continental titles over the past eight years.

the legacy of the Viper series is being brought to a completely new level, with this next-generation profile. the Viper 3 is an entirely new wing that we are confident will satisfy the speed and agility demands of the most advanced and discerning pilots in the world.

Cheers from the ozone team.

we also have a full line of accessories to keep you warm, cool, to carry your stuff, and replace your parts. Check out all of the latest accessories in the ozone webshop at www.flyozone.com that are available from your local ozone dealer.

ozone provides a full line of rucksacks to compliment every glider we make and give you choices to suit your transportion needs. From ultralight and compact to competition rigs to throw and go stuff sacks, we have you covered.

A lightweight, low fat version of the Saucisse. we hope it will satisfy the pilots who find the normal Saucisse to be a bit heavy. the main saving is made by using buckles rather than a long zip. Available in two sizes for wings with long or short chords.

Simply put, the Anti-G is a device that reduces G Force in a spiral dive. it is simple and easy to use, and is particularly effective for higher aspect ratio wings. the Anti-G is fixed to the main attachment point of your harness on the side that you wish to spiral toward. Just deploy the chute, and begin your spiral dive as normal. Although you will be able to enter a steep spiral dive, you will make fewer turns while maintaining a higher sink rate and experiencing far less G-Force. most pilots will experience a massive 40% reduction in G-Force while using the Anti-G.

the Saucisse pack is designed to make the packing and storage of your ozone wing an easy task. using the Saucisse, you can quickly and easily accordion fold your wing. this is crucial for retaining the shape of the leading edge of your wing, particularly if your wing features plastic leading edge reinforcements. the Saucisse is available as an option to add to your glider order from your local ozone Dealer.

our new ozone helmet (powered by plusmax) is specifically designed for airborne sports and conforms to En 966 standards. A full EpS impact foam liner provides shock absorption and is covered by an AbS shell for protection. the soft interior liner is moisture-wicking and the shell features 11 vents. it is available in XS-XL sizes, covering 54 to 62cm.

Everyone needs an Angel… even though no one really wants to use theirs. however, the fact is that when the time comes, the most important factors are safety and stability with a low sink rate for a gentle and controlled descent. the Angel 140 is certified to 140kg, meaning that even a pilot with a total in-flight weight of 140kg will have a stable descent of near or less than the tested result of 5.24m/s, and most pilots will have a slower descent with this size. the high stability and low sink rate, coupled with its affordable price and light weight make it a safe and popular choice for pilots of all abilities. • passive ventilation

• goggle retention strap

• Clip Closure system

• removable ear Cover

• Chin-gaurd option

• shell: aBs Technology

• freeflight standard: Ce en966

• 3 sizes: up to 95kg/110kg/140kg

• 2.8 second opening Time

•Certified en and LTf to the en 12491 and LTf 91/09 standards

• ~5.2m/s sink rate at max Load

•available in 2 bridle options: y bridle (for harnesses with no bridles) and short Bridle (for harnesses with integrated bridles)

The Anti-G is NOT to be used as a tool to land in a shorter than normal distance. It is intended only for use as a tool to decrease G-Force in a spiral.32ACCESSORIES
