ABOUT THE EVENT
Please join Desert Parkway Behavioral Healthcare Hospital, Desert Meadows Area Health Education Center (AHEC), and Las Vegas Recovery Center (LVRC) as they educate the public and raise awareness among the medical, legal, and educational communities about the opioid addiction epidemic and its causes and possible solutions.
This half-day event will feature a discussion and presentation from Dr. Mel Pohl, pain and addiction expert and LVRC’s chief medical officer, as well as remarks from several special guests. If you can’t make it in person, Las Vegas’s Public Broadcasting Station (Vegas PBS) will be live-streaming the event to registered viewers.
