This will be a part of the “Anderson to Heritage” coalition which is a project currently underway that seeks to improve how we move through and among the communities of Fairview, Acadia, Haysboro, Kingsland, Southwood and Willow-Ridge. The students are seeking resident input on the ways you get around and some of the challenges you face plus ideas you might have for making things easier. Keep your eyes on the Fairview Facebook page for more details or contact a board member if you’re interested in attending the gathering in March. Check out www.ahcoalition.rocks for more information on the Anderson to Heritage Coalition.
FIRST VICE-PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Happy February Fairview-ites! Just a short update from me this month.
There are a number of development projects ex-pected in Fairview in the next couple of years, but I wanted to draw your attention to the Chabad Calgary Campus Building Project. Chabad purchased the old A-1 Cement site in 2016. They have done numerous upgrades to the site already but they have an expan-sion in the planning stages as well. They have a bold vision to redevelop their property on Forge Road in the Fairview Industrial area. You may have had the opportunity to attend their Open House in October, but I would invite you to check out the details on their website www.chabadalberta.org. If you have any questions, please connect with them directly.
Looking forward to seeing you at our upcoming spring events!

Origin: This is early aviation parlance. Aircraft ini-tially had few navigation aids and flying was ac-complished by means of the pilot’s judgment. The term emerged in the ’30s and was first widely used in reports of Douglas Corrigan’s flight from the USA to Ireland in 1938.

Our inaugural Bowl with Santa event on December 16th was a big success. We had 65 bowlers out and a handful of spectators enjoying the festivities and some quality time with the big guy in the red suit! Thank you to everyone who came out and enjoyed the afternoon bowling and colouring. Congratulations to all the winners of the colouring contest! Special thank you to Toppler Bowl for their generous support of this event and Brandy Payne and her family for joining us.
