The manger is the place where animals find their food. But now, lying in the manger, is he who called himself the true bread come down from heaven, the true nour- ishment that we need in order to be fully ourselves. This is the food that gives us true life, eternal life. Thus the manger becomes a reference to the table of God, to which we are invited so as to receive the bread of God. From the poverty of Jesus’ birth emerges the miracle in which man’s redemption is mysteriously ac- complished." ― Pope Benedict XVI Augustus Harold Kennedy was welcomed into the Christian community through the sacrament of Baptism on Saturday, December 17th here at St. Rose. Elizabeth Rowan Bruyer and Thomas Jeffery Stanley were welcomed into the Christian community through the sacrament of Baptism on Sunday, Decem- ber 18th here at St. Rose. To be fully initiated and part of the Catholic Church, a person should receive the sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation. I know there are some adults who missed out on their Confirmation. I invite anyone who has not been confirmed to join us on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Peter in Chains Cathedral and receive the sacrament. For more information, please call Fr. Barry at 513-421-5354. The angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For to- day in the city of David a savior has been born for you who is Christ and Lord. Augustus Harold Kennedy was welcomed into the Christian community
