2014 Fall Semester Growth Groups are gearing up! A group setting is the easiest and quickest way to get connected, grow

in your faith and explore what it means to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. Groups are Interest or Study based and meet September

thru November. God actively works in our lives through our relationships as we study, serve, and learn together!

Sign-ups will begin in August, would you be interested in finding out more details about leading a group? If so, sign-up

on the connect card and Gary or one of the GG Team Members will contact you.

July 20, 2014 You ASKED For it!

Why don’t we see signs and wonders anymore in the church?

People of Israel, listen! God publicly endorsed Jesus the Nazarene by doing powerful miracles, wonders, and signs

through him, as you well know. 23But God knew what would happen, and his prearranged plan was carried out when Jesus

was betrayed. With the help of lawless Gentiles, you nailed him to a cross and killed him.

Acts 2:22–23 (NLT)

A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders.

Acts 2:43 (NLT)

What does the world really need to see from the church? People who love ____________.

Jesus replied, “The most important commandment is this: ‘Listen, O Israel! The Lord our God is the one and only Lord. 30And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart,

all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ 31The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as

yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.” Mark 12:29–31 (NLT)

People who love ______________.

If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging

cymbal. 2If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had

such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. 3If I gave everything I have to the

poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 (NLT)
