Corpus Christi Has Gluten-Free Hosts

For those who wish to receive Gluten-Free hosts at Communion, we have them available at all Masses. To receive them, please come down the center aisle at the end of Communion and indicate to the Eucharistic Minister that you need the Gluten-Free host.

We welcome all who are visiting our Corpus Christi Faith Community for the first time or are frequent visitors. We are hon-ored by your presence. If we can be of service to you, please do not hesitate to call on us. If you would like to become a member of our Parish, please com-plete one of the Registration forms located in the Parish Office, at the Community Center Bulletin Board, or on our website at www.cccctucson.org

Please remember to let the Parish Office know when you are on campus during business hours. Thank you.

Mass Intentions are Available

If you would like to schedule a weekday Mass for your loved one(s), or have a special intention, please contact the parish office.

During Ordinary Time, the first reading and the Gospel are con-nected in some way or another. Sometimes it is a strong connec-tion; sometimes it’s a rather loose and iffy connection. Today I think it’s the word “meek” from the two readings that connects them. From Zechariah we have, “See, your king shall come to you; a just savior is he, meek, and riding on an ass,” which immediately brings to mind Palm Sunday and Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, and from the Gospel Jesus describes himself “meek and humble of heart.” Web-ster’s Dictionary defines “meek” as “enduring injury with patience and without resentment, or not violent.” That’s a pretty good de-scription of how a disciple responds to others, with patience and without resentment. Maybe that’s what Jesus means when he says “Learn from me.”

Homebound Eucharist If you have a family member or know of a parishioner on the eastside of Tucson in need of having Eucharist brought to them regularly, please contact the Parish Office at 751-4235.

Prayer Chain If you would like to be a part of the Prayer Chain, or have a pray-er request, all that’s required is to have a computer with internet access, an email address, a compassionate heart, and willingness to pray for others (no phone trees). For more information contact Lyn Diehl at 751-4235 or [email protected]

BREAKING OPEN THE SCRIPTURE WITH FR. CHRIS On Fridays, Fr. Chris will lead an informal, free-flowing discussion of the Biblical texts at 9am in Conference Room A/B. All are welcome. Come in and check it out!
