Who are they?• "Colleges That Change Lives" is a

designation given to 40 selected liberal arts universities that are widely recognized for changing positively the lives of their students and exceeding the Ivy League and major universities in producing winners. These schools were first identified in Loren Pope's book Colleges That Change Lives in 1996.

• CTCL colleges focus on teaching as well as providing a supportive community for their students. In the introduction to the second edition of his book, Pope wrote "This book will help youths of many levels of academic aptitude find catalytic colleges that will change their lives, help them find themselves, raise their aspirations, and empower them."

• Come and learn more about these powerful universities.

SIP Committee

Wellness Compass – SIP Committee

• Born out of the GIN Manila Conference and the work our students were a part of there.

• An opportunity for ALL ISM stakeholders to assess ISM’s sustainability through 4 areas/compasses (Nature, Society, Economy and Well- Being).

• The “pyramid” is the structure of the process we are following as we assess ISM

• Task of compiling appropriate indicators of sustainability (or lack thereof) with a goal of developing action plans for improvement at ISM.

• Stakeholder included students, faculty, parents and other ISM community members.

Wellness Compass – SIP Committee

• As part of the Wellness compass, a common question/theme came up in all our discussions.

• “How can we begin to accurately assess the overall sustainability of ISM (from a wellness perspective) as an organization if we are not absolutely clear as to the sustainability (physical/social/emotional health) of our own student body?”

• Risk behaviors and high-risk behavior patterns
