My Vision

The goal of the animation is to be a short video which refreshes the memory ofstudents about the Eukaryotic C ell, and the functions of the organelles

My Artistic Vision was to have a dream like world which was almost like an Alienplanet, it was also meant to be all happening in the head of a student, and I

wanted to show this by taking the viewer out for couple seconds in theanimation; I attempted this by stopp ing the flow of the animation and drawingout text which represented the students revision, this ended up ruining theexperienc e as the viewers have no vested interest in the Student, it later felt like Iwas the only one who would be able to take something out of this featureAfter publishing the animatic, it was evident that the travel through the worldwas more important than being the mind of the student, I still was able to showthat this was all happening in the head of the student by overlaying static oversec tions, it may look like a cool effect and mean nothing to the viewer but it wasmore for my personal satisfaction

I needed to look back at my Lysosome and Gogli because of their design, it seemedthat theyll be the most difficult to model, so I set out plans and made myself familiar

with the designs

The important part of my animation was the environment, here I was faced with a big challenge as it was mywith Environments in 3D. I created the Terrain using a plane with an O cean Shader applied to it, I then lifted toc ean Shader using the Height Field Utility in Maya, and played around with settings till I got a Mountain Type
