Thanks to Morah Tova Itzhak (Toddlers) for directing us to the link. Our very own Reuven (and Karine) Bigio were highlighted for Reuven’s dramatic support for Israel’s rescue mission to Haiti. Zilber Bigio, Reuven’s father and Israel’s Consul General in Haiti, along with his son provided essential land and transportation on which to build a field hospital. “Without the Consul’s son…” declared Israel’s Ambassador to the Dominican Republic, “none of this would have come to fruition.” What better role model could there be in our ongoing mission to raise heroes? Israel’s Ambassador to the Dominican Republic with Reuven Bigio, LCDS parent and son of Israel’s Consul General in Haiti.
