ENGAGEMENT PARTY

An engagement party is the ideal way to bring everyone together and to announce your special news. Your celebration can be as simple as an outdoor cocktail affair, a relaxed luncheon with friends, or as elaborate as a formal sit-down dinner. Whatever suits you, remember to take lots of photos and videos to mark this memorable occasion and the beginning of your wedding journey.

REHEARSAL PARTY

Start your wedding celebrations off with an informal rehearsal dinner for your family and guests. A great chance for the wedding party to better get to know each other, and most importantly, it’s a chance for the bride and groom to thank all the people who have helped them out with the wedding planning.


HIGH TEA

A lovely way to celebrate a bridal shower is to indulge in the English custom of high tea where, traditionally, tea, sandwiches and cakes are served. Indulge in an afternoon of sweet treats, savories, sparkling, sunshine and chatter with our popular high tea packages...the ideal pre-wedding celebration for you and your bridal party.

DAY ON THE GREEN OR DAY AT THE SPA

Come a day early and enjoy a round of golf or a spa day. The golf course is perfect for big or small groups and we suggest booking before you arrive as the golf course can be popular on the weekend. If a massage or treatment is more your desire, we can organize an afternoon of pampering either in your villa or at a local spa. BACHELOR AND BACHELORETTES PARTY

Round up your ladies for the ultimate bachelorette soirée, comprising of an indulgent morning of pampering at one of the local day spas, followed by a decadent five-course meal at Founders Restaurant Bar & Grill. For a buck's party with a difference, challenge your mates on the green with 18 holes of golf on our world-class course. Retire on the 19th hole with a celebratory round of beers then continue the festivities into the night in our restaurant and bar.

Saturday weddings are most popular at The Lakes at Ben Eoin Golf Club & Resort, so we recommend booking as early as possible. We also host weddings on Fridays and Sundays. We are happy to work with you and your needs to make your day the very best It can be.

TOURING THE RESORT

Make an appointment with our dedicated wedding staff. Please allow at least 30-45 minutes to view the full resort and ceremony locations. Be sure to enjoy lunch or dinner at Founders Restaurant Bar & Lounge while you are here.

TASTING THE MENU

We offer menu tastings free of charge for the bride and groom once your wedding booking is confirmed. The Chef can be booked two weeks prior to the proposed tasting date and you can select two options from each course to taste test. If you're yet to confirm your wedding booking, a tasting can be arranged for a nominal charge.

REHEARSAL DINNER

Prepare for your special day with a pre-wedding rehearsal dinner surrounded by your family and closest friends at Founders Restaurant & Bar, complete with a fully catered two-course meal and your choice of local wines.

5 THINGS TO REMEMBER ON YOUR WEDDING DAY

• Eat Breakfast & Stay Hydrated This may seem simple, but it will make a huge difference in your energy levels and mood during your wedding! (No one likes a hangry bride...

• Have an emergency kit You never know what might happen, pack a small emergency kit for on the spot sewing, site repairs, make-up/hair touch-ups etc. Baby wipes are a brides best friend! Better to be safe than sorry.

• Hold your bouquet low and walk slowly down the isle.Walking down the isle is your big moment, take your time, and be sure to keep your bouquet low and away from your face. This will allow for optimal photos and ensures guests all get to see you as you pass.

• Not Everything has to be Perfect It’s reality, something will go wrong on your wedding day, don’t sweat the small stuff, remember it’s your day!

• Live in the Moment There will be so much going on around you, don’t forget to just be present. Take deep breaths, soak in everything around you, and take just as much joy in the little things as the big events!

The main entry offers an intimate setting for weddings 2-40 people. Brides are able to make the ultimate entrance as they walk down our two story winding staircase with vaulated ceilings. Perfect for an afternoon wedding or lower the lights and decend the stairs by candle light.

JUSTICE OF THE PEACE & TRADITIONAL CHURCH VENUES

We have contact information for Justices of the Peace that officiate wedding ceremonies. Big Pond and East Bay churches are within ten minutes of the resort. A variety of other churches are also located within 20 minutes in the Sydney and Sydney River area. Arrangements are made directly between the clergy/ justice and the engaged couple.

The facility combines a grand indoor foyer with an ambient outdoor terrace, which flows onto the Resort's manicured lawns. The event space is bathed with abundant natural light from its vast windows.

CAKE SERVICE

We will supply fridge space if needed for your wedding cake. A $2.50 per person service fee will be applied for the Chef to cut, plate and serve you and your guests. Should you wish to self -serve the cake, there would be a flat charge of $75.00 for our Chef to cut and tray the cake.

BEVERAGE SERVICES

Our wine list and pricing are subject to change from year to year. An updated wine list will be available to you at least three months in advance of your wedding date. We ask that you select your wine at least 30 days prior to your wedding date to ensure significant supplies are in house to accommodate your order.


Bar Setup

HOST BAR: Suited to functions where an individual or organization is hosting or assuming the total cost of beverages served to all attendees. Host bar pricing is subject to applicable taxes and gratuities.

CASH BAR: Available for non-sponsored functions where attendees purchase their own refreshments. Cash bar for sales of less than $600.00 per function is subject to a set-up/service charge. Cash bar pricing is subject to applicable taxes and gratuities.

Our double rooms offer large spacious rooms with two double beds and fireplace. Some double rooms may offer a balcony or porch.

MACPHERSON HOUSE

Stay in the newly renovated MacPherson House - a tribute to the founders of the Birches at Ben Eoin who lived in the home while owning and operating the property. The home offers a large kitchen, two full bathrooms with walk in showers, two bedrooms, (one with two double beds and sitting area), and the master bedroom with queen bed. There is additional room for sleeping on the main floor. One of the two living room areas is equipped with pullout sofa. A great space for families and small groups looking for longer stays.
