A Note From the Editor

I hope that everybody is doing well and staying safe

through this transition of staying at home. I truly hope that

everyone can adjust to this situation and find ways to make

a difference in other lives. Keep your strength and make it

the “New Normal” for a while.

The Coronavirus The Coronavirus (Covid-19) is a respira-tory disease. Covid-19 is the nineteenth Coro-navirus that has been discovered worldwide. It was first reported in China in December 2019. Because this is a new disease, doctors are still learning about it. Trump stated, “It's a matter of life and death.” The Coronavirus has now infected over 400,000 Americans and claimed the lives of over 12,000. Meanwhile, states are concerned about the lack of availa-ble testing. Many states have taken matters into their own hands to help slow the spread of the disease. Thousands of schools and universities are closed across the country and more major sporting events have been postponed or can-celled. All of these Coronavirus cases contin-ue to rise in the U.S. Known cases have now spread to at least 47 states. Are you Bored? Hasn’t the Coronavirus made you a bit bored and you just want to get out of your house and play with your friends? You most likely have longed for the chance to go enjoy the normal things you usually do like go to school and enjoy sports activi-ties. The Coronavirus has forced nones-sential businesses to close and everyone to stay home. Never fear! Here are few things to keep you up and going. First, you can work on a puzzle and try to finish it as fast as you can. Then, play a board game with your siblings and try to do a competition to see who can win the most games. Next, start a craft project, making something out of a simple piece of paper. Getting hun-gry? Bake some brownies or some choco-late chip cookies, but make sure you get permission from a guardian. Now, chill and read a good book. Don’t forget!!!! Most importantly, make sure you are keeping up with all of your school assignments for every teacher you have. Even though we may be a little more flexible with our time, we still have 6 weeks left to complete this year. DO YOUR BEST! We are all unsure how long all of this will last. Everyone hang in there, be creative, and try to stay busy. Hopefully we will all see each other very soon!

As you all know, COVID-19 has affected everyone here in America, so most teachers are teaching online.

Our 5th and 6th grade teach-ers are using Google Classrooms to provide assignments. They are also using Zoom to see our pro-gress and inquire about how we are adjusting to distance learning.

The 3rd and 4th grade teachers are teaching their stu-dents by Power Points.

Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade teachers are providing their students packets and are teach-ing them through Seesaw. Let’s thank all of our teach-ers and administration for what they are doing to continue to edu-cate us and helping us adjust to this new situation.

How to Submit Work in Google Classroom

Page 3 Volume 5, Issue 7

Google Classroom My experience in Google Classroom has been amazing. My classmates have been amazing for helping each other out. The work is very organized so I don’t get lost trying to find something. The teachers have been by our side through the whole experience helping us. My fa-vorite thing to do in Google Classroom is watch Mrs. Vaughn's lesson videos be-cause they give you information about the day's lessons and they are very fun to watch. Every Friday each class has a Zoom meeting to see how everybody is doing in Google Classroom. That is also a great experience because I haven't seen any of my class-mates in a while. Overall, the technology classes have been outstanding. Can't wait to get back to school and see everyone. By: Parker Neu

Happy Birthday Easter Sunday

Easter, a time for all Christians to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, will be celebrated differently this year, but always remember the pur-pose for our celebration remains the same.

There will be no church gatherings and no large family gatherings. Instead, technology will provide our homes with Easter services to take place online. We have to remember this is to keep our families and friends safe during this time.

“We will get through

this together, apart.”
