Our Mission Statement
● Giving people in any developing countries chance to provide for themselves/their families ○ Access to electricity, efficient transportation,
time
Imagine…...
- 78% of Afghans in the world without running drinking water- Support family- Without education- Long walks for water→ takes time
away- 50% of the world→ limited/no
electricity
The Real-Life Problems
● Women and girls walk around 6 kilometers each day for water
■ Long journey for small amount of water■ Takes precious time away
● No access to electricity
Our Solution
○ Nonprofit Organization○ Bike conducts electricity every time wheel is
spun■ Attached water storage container has
cost-friendly-efficient water purifier■ Bike→ speeds up/eases the journey■ Attached wind-up flashlight generates
light as bike is used
Engineering Behind the KinectoBike
● Use a wind-up flashlight for MVP○ Flashlight attached to stable part of bike ○ Crank attached to elastic-like string○ String attached to outer-wheel spoke○ Wheel spins, tension increases, crank
rotates, electricity is generated● Simple Design=Simple Repair
Science Behind the KinectoBike
● Transfers kinetic energy into light electricity● Wheel spins→ rotates crank(flashlight)→
rotates gears inside flashlight→ rotates generator→ powers flashlight

Knowledge Gained through Interviews
Usually, people can generate 600-700 watts of energy per hour
- That this is a worthy cause- They are less likely to volunteer time than money, or bike parts- don’t want to buy this product if it becomes profitable- Would like the generator located on the handlebar- Want pictures of the people they helped and tax deduction
Where We are Now + Next Steps
We Did So Far
○ Interviewed 35 people○ Studied the science and engineering○ Started Tinkercad version○ Created a finalized materials list
Next Steps
○ Purchase our materials○ Finalize bike engineering○ Logo finalization
Model 2.0-- Our Vision for the Company
● Future model○ Water sanitation○ Personalized generator
■ Screen to notify power available
○ Fold-up bike
