ARE YOU BEING DRAWN TO SHAMANIC HEALING?People often grapple with discovering their true life’s purpose. Some feel that they were meant to do something special in life, but they are still waiting for it to manifest. Some want a stronger spiritual connection. Some feel the persistent call to heal others. But how? Shamanic practitioners have existed in all cultures and times. Through training and practice, they learn to perceive the different types of energies around them. They know how to go into Dreamtime to receive spiritual guidance and to transform what is out of balance in the world energetically.

SHAMANIC HEALING is a holistic approach to treating illness that has been used by indigenous people throughout the ages. Shamans assess the health of a person by examining their lumi-nous body. Instead of trying to cure a symptom, they look for its source, which is based upon some traumatic experience that has created a soul loss. This trauma leaves an imprint or a tear in the energetic field of the person, and if untreated, can develop into a mental, emotional or physical condition. By removing the im-print, the shamanic practitioner restores the luminous body to its balanced state. This is done with the help of power animals, the lineage of medicine people, and the celestial beings who can heal our bodies when we invoke the Inkan codes.

THE APPRENTICESHIP This 16-month long series teaches the principles of shamanism from the Inkan tradition passed down from the paqos, or medicine people, of the Andes. This intensive training will include healing work on yourself so that you can follow your true path and live a more joyful life. It includes the creation of a misa (a medicine bundle with sacred stones called k’huyas), the transmission of the rites of power, sacred ceremo-nies, and practice in the healing of others. You will learn how to perceive and clear energetic imprints from the past so that one can move into a new, more empowering direction.

CONTENT Students will have hands-on experiences working with healing tools and methods associated with the four directions of the medicine wheel. This involves building a misa, strengthening your luminous body, and participating in sacred ceremonies and rites. You will:

• learn the different types of energies and their effects upon the physical, emotional, energetic and spiritual bodies

• learn how to protect and strengthen your luminous body• learn how to journey into Dreamtime to contact your spiri-

tual guides for insight, healing and protection• develop your skill in tracking and removing negative energy

from the luminous body using the Illumination process• receive sacred rites and do ceremonies that empower you

• practice extracting negative thought forms, psychic darts, and entity intrusions

• learn to do a soul retrieval to restore a missing soul part• learn how to do psycho-pomp to assist lost souls in their

transition after death• learn to open portals to heal ancestral and past life trauma • perform death rites to help others in transition• learn how to do shamanic divination and destiny retrievals

Learning about shamanic healing is a process that takes time and mentorship. It involves identifying your own psychic wounds that are often hidden in shadow and transforming them. Having a qualified teacher is vital, not only to teach you the most effective healing methods but also to assist you when things get difficult. With practice and mentorship, you will become more aware, confident and courageous in your life. A graduation ceremony and certificate of completion that describes your healing skills are given at the 10th class session.

TEACHERS Angel and Steve Lyle are shamanic practitioners from Davenport, Iowa. They completed a two and a half year appren-ticeship in shamanism with Jaes Seis in 2008, and a two-year apprenticeship in sound healing with Sound Accord founders Gabrielle Laden and Hope Horton. They have travelled to Peru twice to work with Andean paqos, and they continue to do advanced training with Adolfo Ttito Condori. Other shamanic teachers include Robert Dubiel, Herb Stevenson, Ana Larramendi and Betsy Bergstrom. Angel and Steve teach workshops, do private shamanic sessions, do healings at psychic expos, and lead a monthly drum circle in the Quad Cities.

MEETING TIMES The Apprenticeship will meet approximately every six weeks at a state park near the Quad Cities. (Dates will be determined later by the participants.) These ten weekends will be from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Lunches are provided. Students will need to do assignments between classes, including practicing their new skills.

TO REGISTER The cost of a weekend session is $295 and it includes two delicious lunches and snacks. Total cost is $2,950. Payment plans are available, as is a partial scholarship based upon financial need. A cabin on the grounds is available at low cost, and motels are not far.
