Seconds Boutique

Competition season is fast approaching and we are getting excited at JDC. This means a very busy time of year. We are attending the following competitions:Spring Stars (Saskatoon) April 17-21Candance (Regina) April 25-29 5678 Showtime (Saskatoon) May 10-13We have received the finalized schedule for CanDancewhich was emailed to parents, is on the website and the bulletin board outside the office. We will post the other 2 schedules as soon as they are available.- ATTENDANCE IS VERY IMPORTANT: All students are

expected to attend all dance classes. Dance is a team activity; if we do not attend dance classes or practice at home, we are not only letting down ourselves but also our JDC team. We want all our students to feel confident, proud, and have fun competing which takes practice. If you would like to come in and video your childs’ dance, for personal use only, please ask the instructor and you are more than welcome to come in at the end of the dance class.

- PARENT INFO MEETINGS: Parents please try to attend one of the scheduled meetings the week of Mar 19-24.

- COMPETITION NEWSLETTER: There is a revised newsletter that will be handed out to parents at the meetings. The newsletter will also be on the website and bulletin board.

- COMPETITION DRESS REHEARSAL: Sunday, April 15 beginning @ 11:00 (arrival time for students 10:30) . ALL STUDENTS COMPETING ARE TO ATTEND!!

- COSTUMES: Competition costumes have been ordered.- alterations: we will let parents know if they are needed (parents’ responsibility)- comp. fees to be paid in full before costumes go home (JDC paid comp fees to the competitions in Jan)- Solo costumes are to be paid in full when received

- COMPETION TEAM BUIDLING : We would love for all students who are competing to come join us for an afternoon of bowling, pizza & fun.

- Who: All students competing Where: Eastview Bowl- When: Saturday, April 14 @ 3:00 Cost: $10.00/person - Sign up on bulletin board outside office by April 6.

• Parents please come in to pick up your child as it is safer for your child to wait indoors.

• Please take all footwear off and put on the boot racks• Please check regulation dance wear on the website • Please put your child’s name on all dance attire • Water only in Studio I & II• Please try to bring a filled water bottle. No cups

will be provided.

• If you are looking for a used pair of shoes or your child has outgrown their shoes and you are wanting to sell them, please check out The Seconds Boutigue(located in the office.)

• Please take a ziplock bag from the black pocket holder on the bulletin board outside the office. Fill in the information on the envelope ($ in 5.00 increments), item in the bag and then bring it back to the office.

• If an item sells, you will receive an email.

Competition News!ALL COMPETITION FEES ARE DUE !!

JDC’s 2018 GALA –“Our Story…” Saturday, June 16 @ TCU @ 7:00pm In order to continue to showcase our beautiful

dancers in such a wonderful venue, TCU, we are needing to sell as many tickets as possible. We are asking each family to sell/purchase at

least 6 tickets for the event in order to continue at TCU. To say thank-you to

students who sell at least 6 tickets, their name will be put into a draw to win a prize.

Tickets will be on sale at JDC by the middle of March

Ticket Prices: Adults $30.00 ($35.00 at the door)Kids 10 & under $15.00 ($20.00 at the door)2 and under free
