Meet some of The Hyatt Student Prize Alumni.
They did it!
I have had the pleasure to be the representativeof the VATEL INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
OF HOSPITALITY AND TOURISM MANAGEMENT for the second edition of the Hyatt Student Prize.
It brought to me great success in my career since this Prize. I ended up in the second position but Hyatt gave me the opportunity to join the prestigious teams of the Park Hyatt Paris Vendôme for a Hotel Management Training.
Since that decision, I am still working for Hyatt
after seven years and currently holding the position of Associate Director of Sales at the Park Hyatt Paris Vendôme.
My professional experience brought me to the Hyatt Regency Paris Charles de Gaulle for three years holding
several events and sales positions. This journey has been amazing so far and I have the strong confidence I am still at the early stages of my professional
career with Hyatt.
MARTIN VITTE
Taking part in the final of the Hyatt Student Prize in 2013 was a truly life changing event for me.
I was doing my eMBA at École hôtelière de Lausanne at the time and was a "career switcher" meaning that my
prior professional experience was in another field, therefore a blank sheet of contacts in the hospitality world.
The event in Paris changed that immediately.Just by taking part I had gained a lifetime of support from
Hyatt leaders and fellow contestants. Now working as a hospitality consultant, conference organizer and
moderator my biggest asset is my global network to which Hyatt has contributed profoundly over the years.
I have attended and supported the event each year and was extremely honored to be invited to judge in the 2016
edition. I look forward to strengthening the already strong bond as the competition evolves and will forever
be grateful to the Hyatt Student Prize for kicking off my career in the fascinating world of hospitality.

Ready? Action!
Here are some tips you should consider in order to deliver the best video possible:
1. Think resultsWhile answering the questions, communicate stories, facts and achievements that would leave a positive impression on the judging panel. Think about what you want the judges to remember about you.
2. Be creative!Avoid simply sharing facts; we have your resume! Brainstorm interesting ways to market your personal brand and accomplishments. Consider filming yourself “in action” demonstrating a skill , incorporating appropriate props or filming in different contexts. Feel free to have a guest step in at some point.
3. Plan and practiceCreate an outline of your video and map out what you want to say and when. Ensure your video flows well. Practice delivering your content in various ways and film multiple takes, if necessary.
4. Engage your audienceA major advantage of videos is the ability to showcase your personality and communication skills! Present yourself with enthusiasm and confidence. Note the speed and tone of your voice. When filming, look directly into the camera to make eye contact with the viewer. Appear approachable by smiling, dress to impress and be well-groomed!
5. Don’t forget logisticsDetails matter! Choose video editing software that can maximize the benefits of using moving pictures to tell your story. Add dimension to your video by using different angles and screen captures. Consider displaying your name and your school’s so that you are clearly identified on the video.
What now?
