Message from the LTG
Hi Key Clubbers!
Despite the fact that I have only been your LTG for one month I am having an
amazing time! It was great to see a couple of you at my first DCM and hope that I
can meet a lot more of you soon. During this month and early next month I will be
visiting your clubs. I’m really excited to meet all of you, and I know that this year is
going to fantastic! I hope this newsletter is informative as there is a lot of awesome
events coming up. Remember to feel free to contact me at any time and I will try to
get back to you as soon as possible!

This month’s DCM will be held on May
26th at Round Table Pizza in Hazel Dell!
Time is TBD and will be announced
ASAP! It is really important that all of
you come! Officers, members,
advisors alike! RSVP on the Facebook
event so I know you’re coming! Food,
icebreakers, and fun! See you all
there!!!
Recent/ Upcoming Events!
Jog for a Hog! April DCM Dozer Day
Jog 4 A Hog was absolutely
awesome! Prairie was able to
raise a total of $919.01 enough
for 7 hogs! The money will go to
Cambodia and Heifer Int. is
matching the donation for
a total of $1832.02!! Way
to go Key Clubbers!!
April’s DCM was really
great! It was awesome
to discuss and meet all
of you!
Where will Dozer Day be held
this year?
Dozer Day will be at the Clark
County Fairgrounds in Ridgefield
Washington for 2014. This facility
will be able to host more
people.
What is DOZER DAY?
Dozer Day is like going to a fair
only our rides are real heavy
construction equipment. Kids
hop in the driver's seat and
actually drive big yellow dozers,
dump trucks and other heavy
equipment with a professional
operator at their side. Not only is
it a dream come true for kids
(and fun for the whole family),
the event also benefits many
local, children's charities. Dozer

When is Dozer Day?
The next Dozer Day event will be
held Saturday, May 17th and
Sunday, May 18th, 2014, from
11am to 4 pm.
Portland Rally!
Join Key Clubbers
throughout the
Portland Area this
summer for a day full of
fun! Meet other
members, attend
forums, oh and did I
mention FOOD?
Updates will be sent
out as soon as I know
more info!
Div. 44’s Bikin’to
the Beach!
The 14th Annual Bikin to the Beach is here
again to help raise funds for Kiwanis
Doernbecher Children's Hospital!
Last year they raised around $1,400 and
this year the goal is over double that
amount-- $3,000! Please fundraise at least
$25 prior to the event and share a fun bike
ride with all your friends and family!
We... will be meeting at the Marshall
Community Center for registration, sign in,
and turning in fundraising money. Bikers will
then bike down to the Frenchman's Bar
and back to the Marshall Center (~15
miles). When you arrive back at the park
there will be refreshments and snacks for
you to enjoy!
