3 october fred herschThe aPexThe most prolific and celebrated solo jazz pianist of his generation, Hersch has been proclaimed by Vanity Fair magazine as “the most arrestingly innovative pianist in jazz over the last decade or so”. This autumn Hersch is playing just a handful of what are quite rare solo gigs in the UK, and the apex is one of them. 8pm, £16
