The Greatest Gift is Love

"And now abides faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love." (1Corinthians 13:13)

Some people have the misconception that God is not passionate about his creation. But inhim we live and move, having our very being. (Acts 17:28) We know that God is truelove. (1 John 4:8) King Solomon wrote about God's passion for his church in the Song ofSolomon 8:6. "Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm: for love is asstrong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: its flames are flames of fire, a mostvehement flame." Israel was called the apple of God's eye. "For thus saith the LORD ofhosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he thattouches you touches the apple of his eye."
