Prayers for Country and Community

Today we will pray for Malawi. Population: 20,536,979

17% Muslim

Malawi remains a stable and peaceful land in a region troubled by wars and violence. The people have a peaceful and rural nature, the democracy is healthy, and the president speaks out against corruption. Praise God for the peace that allows

Christian ministry and national development to continue. The country still faces complex challenges of poverty combined with high population growth, AIDS, and unemployment. Most leaders in Malawi are church members. Pray that

God would help the leaders act with wisdom and humility. Pray that churches might be better equipped to face these challenges.

We will also pray for New Beginnings Baptist Church and their Pastor, McArthur Greensberry (5825 Groom Rd., Baker, LA 70714)
