The Fourteenth Creative Living Series Ernest Huntzinger, successful minister and highly ac- claimed vocalist, will present a program of ballads, folk songs, spirituals, patriotic songs, and popular tunes. A graduate of Washburn University and Bangor Theological Seminary, Mr. Huntzinger has also studied at the New England Conservatory of Music and has sung lead roles in several professional productions. Currently he travels throughout the country presenting "America Sings" and also serves as Senior Minister of the First Congregational United Church of Christ of Elmhurst, Illinois. THURSDAY, OCTOBER 20-10 a.m. The Academy of Performing Arts will entertain and fascinate us with a performance by violinists as young as two and three years old, conducted by Betty Haag, and a presentation by the Suzuki Chamber Orchestra, directed by Henry Mazer. The Suzuki performers have toured in Europe, played with the Chicago Symphony, and appeared on several television shows. On their European tour they inspired the Education Minister of France to start a Suzuki program in his country. Mrs. Haag, presently on the faculty of DePaul University, has toured as a soloist, played in Carnegie Hall, and has worked directly with Shinichi Suzuki in his country and Japan. Mr. Mazer, a protege of Fritz Reiner, is now in his fifth season as Associate Conductor of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 17 -10 a.m. Lucia Perrigo, public relations director for the Ambassador Hotels, fascinates people with her stories about stage and screen stars and the workings of the famous Pump Room. Her working day is spent meeting celebrities and seeing to every detail of their accommodations in order to insure a memorable stay for them. Miss Perrigo, a graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, is the founder of the Sarah Siddons Society, which confers awards to promote theater. In addition to her duties as the "Ambassador's ambassador," Miss Perrigo and her husband also produce award winning travelogues which have taken them throughout Europe. THURSDAY, JANUARY 19-10 a.m. Presented by the Woodstock Fine Arts Association Held at the Woodstock Opera House on the City Square Jane Moore, director of Mill Creek Studio in St. Charles is a fascinating combination of talents and interests. As an interior designer she is much in demand, often working on as many as fifty projects at once, ranging from private homes to resorts to hospitals. Her day begins early on the family farm where she helps feed the goats, horses, and burros before coming into the Studio. The Studio itself has been described as a "magic place," a series of buildings with a rich history that has been transformed into an array of charming rooms, each with its own personality, yet each reflecting the personality of its innovative owner. THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 16-10 a.m. Constance Parenti, authority on dolls and other antiques, will present a program dealing with antiques which pertained specific- ally to women - their lives, work, and personal adornment. She will also talk about pot-pourri making and will involve the audience by iden- tifying items which they bring. Having attended the University of Chi- cago and Northland College, Mrs. Parenti has worked as a social worker, operated the Lost Child Doll and Toy Shop in Union and taught adult education courses for McHenry County College. THURSDAY, MARCH 16-10 a.m. The Barat Repertory Dance Group, one of the performing arms of the Barat College Theatre and Dance Depart- ment, will present a history of classical ballet and modern dance through demonstrations by the dancers and accompanying dialogue. The per- formance will culminate with exerpts of pieces from the company's concert repertoire. Artistic directors and choreographers Kenneth Mel- ville and Carol Walker direct the group as well as teach classical ballet and modern dance at Barat College in Lake Forest and at the Carol Walker Dance Studio in Highwood. Performers of the company are dance majors attending the College and guest artists from the Chicago area. THURSDAY, APRIL 20-10 a.m. Coffee will be served at 9: 00 a.m. before each program.

The Woodstock Fine Arts Association

The Woodstock Opera House celebrated its grand re-opening in February and is now fully operating as the Woodstock Opera House Community Center, Inc. The Woodstock Fine Arts Association is proud to continue as an integral part of its programming and planning, under the guidance of full time Executive Manager Doug Rankin.

The Association is pleased to offer a variety of activities, programs and services to McHenry County residents, that, this year, include: The Creative Living Series, revamped as a completely daytime program; Affiliate Artists, Inc., spon-sored by the Sears Foundation, National Endowment for the Arts, and the WFAA; McHenry County Arts Calendar, under a grant from the Illinois Arts Council to the WFAA; children's theatre, bus trips, and other special day and evening programs to bring entertainment and cultural enrichment to the area.

Funding for these activities are provided through ticket sales, grants, contribu· tions and association membership fees.
