What is Game/Film Design?

• 3D modeling is used in plenty of places as far as jobs are concerned. It is mainly used to design Video games and 3D animation in films. It is also commonly used in science for making models of chemical compounds, etc. It has become very advanced over the years, as we see in the movies.

Salary?• Game designers make anywhere

from $5o,000 up to $200,000 per year, depending on what you do, and how much experience you have.

• 3D animators can make from $35,000 to over $100,000 per year, also depending on how high the qualifications for your job are.

College Experience• If you want to be a

game designer, you need to be educated in computer programming and writing software. There are many colleges that offer classes in computer programming, and this shows a company that you’re serious about the field.

What Skills do you Need?

• If you want to be a successful 3D designer, you need to be decent in math, be able to use Photoshop, and other 3D modeling programs.

Where are these Jobs Located?

• As far as the U.S. is concerned, there is a high concentration of game companies in states like North Carolina, California, and most of New England.

Is there a Need for Game/Film Designers?

• Very much so. The need has increased dramatically as has the industry itself. Companies are looking for employees with advanced 3D graphics knowledge.
