PLOT Johnson was in love with Emily, but he was too poor to marry

her.

He went to Australia to make his fortune, and came back after

20 years.

When he arrived Emily had gone.

After looking for her for a long time, he went back to the house

they had met.

Lived there for a long time, crying for Emily. When he died his

soul did the same, haunting the house.

He was a gentle ghost, but the family that lived in the house

got tired of his moaning.

They made a false grave in their garden and made Johnson

believed it was Emily’s.

When the ghost saw the grave he stayed there crying for

Emily. He stopped haunting the house.

MEETING MRS DUMOISE

CHARCATERS

Mr Dumoise (Shahib): doctor at Meridibki

in the Punjab, north-west of India.

Mrs Dumoise (Memsahib): doctor’s wife.

Ram Dass: a servant.

PLOT Mr and Mrs Dumoise lived in Meridibki.

Mrs Dumoise got ill and died. His husband suffered her

loss.

He travelled to rest. During that trip his wife appeared to

Ram Dass and asked him to tell her husband they would meet

at Nuddea.

Mr Dumoise didn’t mean to go there and came back to

Meridibki, and tried to forget about that.

Because of an epidemic, the Punjab government sent the

doctor there.

He died there eleven days later and joined Mrs Dumoise at

Nuddea, as her ghost had told Ram Dass.

PLOT

The Baron’s daughter and Count Von Altenburg were engaged

(their parents had decided their marriage).

The young Count was killed on his way to marry her fianceé.

His friend was supposed to notice the Baron’s family about the

terrible news.

When Herman Von Starkenfaust arrived at the castle felt in

love with the girl.

He made the Baron believe he was the Count’s ghost.

Everybody was sad about the situation.

The young man came back to the castle in secret to see the

girl during the night. They fell in love deeply.

The decided to elope and get married in secret.

When the Baron thought his daughter had died, she came

back with her husband. They told the whole story. The Baron

forgave them, even though his son-in-law was his enemy’s son.

PLOT

Mr Dillet bought a doll’s house at Mr Chittenden’s shop.

The first night at home, Mr Dillet discovered the house was

haunted.

He could see a lady, a young man, two children, an old man

and servants.

The old man was sick and died.

The two young children were killed by a sort of spirit that

was like a shadow with the shape of a frog.

All this made Mr Dillet nervous, and he was sent to rest by

the sea. He met Mr and Mrs Chittenden at the hotel. They

were there for the same reason as Mr Dillet’s.

They talked about the house and Mr Dillet discovered that

the doll’s house was a copy of a real one that once existed.

PLOT Married young couple: Laura and Jack lived in a cottage.

They were artists and lived happily.

The servant, Mrs Dorman, knew something evil about the

cottage: at Halloween the house was visited by the ghosts of

two killers.

Jack left Laura alone at home and went to the church to see

if the knights were in their tombs and he discovered they were

gone.

He ran back home; on his way he met Dr Kelly who told

him that all those tales were false. He took Jack back to the

church and they saw the statues were there.

Jack invited Dr Kelly a drink.

When they got at the house, they discovered Laura lying

dead. She was killed by the killer knights.
