Dear 4-H’ers:
September has arrived and the year
has started off with a blast! August
was busy with club promotion and
state fair activities! We want to
congratulate all of the young
people who submitted entries to be
taken to the state fair as well as the
young people who participated in
the livestock shows this year!
We have several new clubs starting
including Jr. Beekeeping, Spanish,
Rabbit, and Art club. If you are
interested in any of those please
contact us for more information!

Search Estill County 4-H
Teen Club
Will meet on Monday, September 11th at 4:00 p.m.
Open to 6th-12th grades - Will be electing officers at
our first meeting as well as setting projects and trip
dates! Returning Teens remember to be working on
your awards applications, we will be available to help
with those at your request.
Cooking Club
Will meet on Friday, September 15th at 4:00 p.m.
Open to 9-18 year olds, we will be learning basic and
more advanced cooking skills. Please call and sign up.
Sewing Club
Sewing Club will meet on Thursday, September 7th at
4:00 p.m. Youth will learn basic to advanced skills
and working on projects that they can enter in the
county fair.
Livestock Club
Work with and learn to show beef, goats, sheep, and
swine. Will meet on Tuesday, September 26th at
6:30 p.m. Livestock club members will participate in
the livestock judging program and will have the
opportunity to show at county fairs and the state fair.
Robotics Club
Open to 3-12th grade students WII, ECMS, and ECHS.
Robotics meets at each of the schools. We will be
sending out schedules to club members.
After School Craft Class
Will meet on Wednesday, Sept. 20th at 4:00 p.m.
K - 5th grade can join us to craft once a month. All
crafts will be able to be entered in the county fair.
Shooting Sports
Shooting sports is wrapping up its season. If you are
interested in joining, signups will start in October.
Photography Club
Date to be announced.
Cloverbud Club
Will meet on Monday, September 25th at 4:00 p.m.
Cloverbud Club will meet and go over different
exciting lessons each month and help our youngest 4-
Hers prepare for other clubs that they might be
interested in when they turn 9. Ages 5-8
Pottery Club
Will meet Thursday, September 7th at 6:30 p.m. We
will be using pottery wheels this year, as well as
learning firing techniques and working toward an art
show.
Estill County Preforming Arts Troupe
We are looking for a club leader please contact us if
you are interested.
Outdoor Adventure Club
We are looking for a club leader please contact us if
you are interested.
Camp Leadership
If you are interested in being a Jr. Counselor at 4-H
Camp this year, please call to join. Must be 16– 18
years old and interested in being a camp counselor
for a week.
Jr. MANNRS
This is an agriculture leadership club for 7-12th grade
students! Jr. MANNRS will be meeting on Monday,
September 25th at 4:00 p.m. Each month will have a
different focus ranging from college visits to farm
visits. We will also be attending the state conference
in December.
Horse Club
Horse club is for youth ages 9-18 (youth do not have
to have a horse to participate). Will be meeting
Tuesday, September 26th at 5:00 p.m.
Fishing Club
We are looking for a club leader please contact us if
you are interested.
Computer Programming Club
Open to 9-18 year old youth who would like to learn
and practice computer programing. Will meet on
Thursday, September 21st at 6:00 p.m.
Small Engines Club
Open to 9-18 years old youth and will meet once a
month. Limited to 12 youth. Will meet Thursday,
September 7th at 6:30 p.m.
Woodworking Club
Open to youth 9-18 years old, limited to 14 youth.
Meets on Monday, September 11th at 5:30 p.m.
Jr. Beekeeping Cub
This club will meet once a month and work closely
with our Beekeeping Association. Youth will work
toward establishing their own hive. Call 606-723-
4557 to sign up.
Rabbit Club
Learn to care for and show your rabbits! This club will
meet on Monday, September 18th at 5:30 p.m. and is
open to 5-18 year olds.
Spanish Learning Club
Join us and learn Spanish this year! Open to 9-18
year old youth and will meet on Monday, September
25th at 4:00 p.m.
Art Club
Art Club will meet on Wednesday, September 27th at
6:30 p.m. Each month the club will complete a state
fair eligible project.
Country Ham
The Country Ham project Contracts will be sent out
in October! Be on the look out to take part in this
amazing project.
