The musical phenomenon Electro Swing conquers the global clubs and festivals since 2010. Since more than five years this music conquers also the clubs of the european major cities. Between the few recommended CD releases of this genre the compilation series „The Electro Swing Revolution“ has nowadays made itself a name with club nights in Bremen, Hamburg and Berlin with the same name.

This new seventh edition of the compilation is again a cooperation between the two DJs and editors Gülbahar Kültür (WDR Funkhaus Europa/Radio Bremen) and Johannes Heretsch aka Louie Prima (Radio Corax Halle/ Electro Swing Revolution Radio Berlin). Also this edition fascinates with its enormous range and elegance of Electro Swing, which has his origins in Swing,

Dixieland, Charleston, Jive and Gospel oft he last century. This high-quality selection of exclusive and some unreleased tracks is convicting by its multifaceted nature and should force also party poopers on the dancefloor.

So far Gülbahar Kültür compiled around 100 compilations fort he Lola´s World Records label. The most successful is „Swing Style“.

Johannes Heretsch aka Louie Prima gestaltete selected the tracks on CD 2: Big Swing! The DJ, remix producers and organizer of the famous Electro Swing Revolution – parties in Berlin presents 18 brand new and some unreleased tunes from eight different countries. On three songs he worked as producer: track 04: the Swing classic Crepa Pelada by Quartetto Cetra from Milan was made 1945 and was used in many movies, e.g. also in the tv series Breaking Bad (season 3, episode "Full Measure"). This remix was made together with the Italian DJ Fabio ’Peddj‘ de Iure. Track 12: the classic Bei Mir Bist Du Scheen, originally from 1938 was a global hit by the Andrew Sisters – here in the rare French version by the accordionist Jean Peyronnin, gave Johannes Heretsch /Louie Prima and Wolfgang Lohr the template for their thrilling Electro Swing remake. Track 18: the bluegrass style Repeal The Blues by Ray Noble from 1934 was remixed by Louie Prima and Harry Chestwig in a groovy, swinging way.

Besides the well known stars like Tape Five, Klischèe and Mad Manouche, you will find many new discoveries, like the young formation Boogie Belgique from Brussels with their enchanting tune Like It Hot, which is a cineastic masterpiece.
