Willowbrook DREAM Monthly Snapshot April 2012 Program Happenings and Highlights
• The program started planning for their end of the year culminating event, the Viking Carnival, which is their largest event of the year.
• After welcoming so many new mentors to the program earlier this spring, the new mentors are starting to pair up with children who do not have mentors as well as doubling up with departing seniors’ kids.
• DREAM partnered with the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC) to put on a presentation about VSAC’s Talent Search program for eligible students in Willowbrook. VSAC is a college prep program run through the schools and we look forward to partnering more with them in the future.

Weekly Programming with Children
• Mentors and Mentees competed in a rousing soccer game at Bennington College as well as enjoying one-on-one time together.
• Mentor-Mentee pairs competed in a campus-wide scavenger hunt. • As a program, mentors and mentees decided on which activities to host at their Viking
Carnival to be held May 18th. Mentor and Mentee pairs then split off to start planning their booths.
