the location...
Coalville is a traditional mining town with an industrial heritage
dating back hundreds of years. Set in the north west of
Leicestershire between Ashby de la Zouch and the city of
Leicester, the area is currently undergoing redevelopment with
major improvements planned give the town a new lease of life.
Coalville has a bustling local community and offers a
good choice of schools, a range of local shops, including many
well-known high street retailers, and a post office. Fitness
facilities include the Hermitage Leisure Centre in neighbouring
Whitwick with its gym and swimming pool.
Stamford Homes’ Coalville development, Ashby Heights,
is a private and secure cul-de-sac situated off Ashby Road and
incorporates many exciting, contemporary new homes.
With an excellent choice of one bedroom apartments, two
bedroom coach houses, three and four bedroom homes and
townhouses, the development also backs onto open playing
fields and a newly-planted woodland.
One of the area’s most popular local attractions is the award-
winning Snibston Discovery Park, built on the site of a former
colliery. This venue explores the impact of technology on our
everyday lives with a wealth of exhibits and hands-on science
areas that are popular with families.
Being set in the heart of the National Forest, it is surrounded
by lovely countryside. With more than seven million trees
planted in the area so far, the project aims to blend new and
mature woodland and offers more than 700 miles of pathways
to explore with an undulating landscape that’s perfect for walking
and cycling.
Coalville has easy road access into Ashby de la Zouch
and is about half an hour’s drive from Leicester. East Midlands
Airport, which has flights to many destinations in Europe, is
also close by.

the company...
Good design is, and always has been, an integral part of
Stamford Homes’ success story over the past 60 years.
The company has been at the forefront of innovation and
regional housebuilding, developing a strong reputation for the
boldness and individuality of its house design and acclaimed for
its high specification and internal finish.
An award-winning business, Stamford Homes’ more
recent national acclaim was as a double winner in the ‘Best
County Development’ category at the Daily Mail UK Property
Awards – praised for two of its prestigious developments in
Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.
Although the company began life building in the Stamford
area, it has expanded not only extensively throughout eastern
England but also its boundaries extend into and beyond
north-east Lincolnshire.
Operating as Stamford Homes North and Midlands divisions,
the company now develops around 500 homes a year.
The company’s growing portfolio of work encompasses
urban and rural environments, and the product mix is broad
including one and two bedroom apartments, townhouses, two,
three, four and five bedroom properties, plus eye-catching
conservation projects.
stamford-homes.co.uk
Great care is taken to ensure the product sits comfortably within
the local environment. To that end, Stamford Homes uses a
wide range of building techniques and materials to deliver the
most appropriate product. External finishes reflect the local
setting and a variety of bricks, tiles, slates, renders and
architectural details are used to achieve this objective.
Galliford Try’s award winning housebuilding division specialises
in brownfield development and individually designed schemes.
Capable of developing around 3,000 homes annually, Galliford
Try is one of the top ten publicly quoted housebuilders in the UK,
operating through five strong regional brands: Linden Homes,
Linden London Developments, Stamford Homes, Midas Homes
and Gerald Wood Homes. Specialists in brownfield sites
and conversions from the West Country to Lincolnshire and
from Southampton to South Yorkshire, the businesses
differentiate themselves through individually designed,
bespoke developments and the provision of outstanding
customer service.
Attention to detail, design quality, local knowledge and expertise
in developing a high quality offering have led to both our
businesses and developments being recognised with a number
of national awards.
