the digital design process in the furniture industry
DESCRIPTION
Presentation made in the 9th European Academy of Design Conference. The study proposes a digital design process for the mass customisation in the furniture industry, where the designer performs design and production activities through the use of computer-assisted tools. It is discussed the relevance and flexibility created by the process, from the perspective of the designer’s activity, and as a mean conducive to the inclusion of the user as an active element in the design activity. @Porto, May 2011TRANSCRIPT
