CONTRACT CYCLE

Manufacturing and assemblyMachining of all key component parts of machine tools takes place at the company manufacturing premises in Plzeň, Czech Republic. Following careful tests on all machine parts, the machine is built in the assembly hall. There, prior to the machine shipment, the basic machine functions are demonstrated to the customer. The assembly hall parameters are: length 85 m, width 35 m, height 26 mcranes: 80 t – maximum lifting height 19 m 2 x 50 t – maximum lifting height 13 m.

Machine taking-over at the customer’s companyA team of company specialists install the delivered machine on the foundation block built earlier. During the tak-ing-over procedure, all machine functions are checked and the specified measurements and technological tests performed. The company ŠKODA MACHINE TOOL a.s. offers machine programmer, operator and maintenance training programs including the services of a programmer specialist who will supervise the full operational start of the machine at the customer’s factory.

The ŠKODA SR  1000–SR  6000 heavy horizontal lathe series includes NC machines of modern concept intended for efficient and precision ma-chining of axial work pieces. The machine design allows for high flexibility in the machine part configuration. Supplied with these machines can be a wide assortment of accessories for milling, grinding, boring and special operations facilitating complete work-piece machining. Thanks to this feature, the ŠKODA lathes can efficiently machine parts like crankshafts or turbine rotors including slotting.

GENERAL OVERHAULING AND MACHINE MODERNISATION PROJECTS

The company offers general overhauls and modernization projects for ŠKODA horizontal machines and lathes, and similar machines of other leading world manufacturers. Modernization usually includes installation of a CNC system supplied by Siemens, Heidenhain or Fanuc. By replacing certain machine parts, the technical parameters of the machine can be significantly improved. The company will take care of the machine dismantling and instal-lation of the modernized machine at the customer’s factory, as well as of the training programs for the machine operators, programmers and maintenance staff with the necessary documentation readily supplied. With horizontal machines, following the customer requirements, the machine modernization may include extended spindle speed range, extended machine travel in axes X and Y or installation of independent drive systems for spindle and sleeve. The technological capabilities of the machine can be improved by supplies of  new milling and boring heads, installation of an automated tool exchange system or supply of a new turnta-ble of  the  TDV series. Regarding lathes, modernization projects usually result in significant parameter improve-ments and application of additional technological accessories.
