New Hampshire All news of our proprietor is well. All kids looking for an education can apply for an apprenticeship. Artisans and laborers are happy to accept hardworking children. The exports we shipped out this week included cattle, lumber, fish, and fur. We imported slaves and are starting to see them around. The population has been slowly increasing since the birth of New Hampshire. There are disputes in England so we signed a merger to be part of Massachusetts Bay Colony where the founder of Exeter, New Hampshire John Wheelwright was banished for his beliefs, which made him a separatist. The joining of New Hampshire and Massachusetts has created some quarrels over religion. Most of us are Congregationalists. Most colonists from Massachusetts are puritans and want everybody else to be puritan too. Massachusetts is working on a new law stating that all towns that have 50 or more families need to hire a teacher, partially paid by taxes. This in the future may start a big education system. Mount Washington is scheduled to be climbed the first time by non-Indians in 1642. Our economy is primarily fishing and trading. The town meeting made our first house of worship called The Meeting House Green. It was also agreed that every person shall have one half of his ground in upland. Those events happened in New Hampshire. We are hoping for the school law to get accepted. Let’s pray for a prosperous future. One colonist said "Life id really better now. I was living in a cave dug out from the river bank now I live in a real home. Life in Philadelphia is way better now."But in the other hand, many settlers are worried about pickpoketers and other criminals in the city. Also we are threatened by French and Spanish privateers. But Franklin says 'do not worry. Franklin gathered 2 batteries of volunteers. Also, working in the government has such a poor reputation many people are afraid to be elected or work in the office. One man even fled to avoid being mayor. The colonists say the city is very dirty with animals and garbage. The city's Indians are in danger too. A group called 'Pixton Boys' are trying to enter the city to harm the Indians. So Franklin and the militias are trying to convince them to leave. How would the city solve all these problems? Although there are many conflicts but the city is peaceful. There are many gas lights lighting the city. The citizens are having a joyful and part worryful life in the city of Philadelphia.
