• Rice will become known nationally for biomedical research
• Rice will be one of the great centers for energy research and education in the world
• Our basic science research will launch discoveries that fuel the development of new technologies
• 40 – 50 endowed chairs to recruit and retain outstanding faculty
Learning and leading, locally and globally.The Centennial Campaign will foster partnerships with leading institutions in Houston and across the world that will benefit our students and faculty and extend our global reach.

• Every student will have the opportunity for an international experience
• Solutions to the many challenges that face our city will be replicated across the world
• We will attract talent to the city of Houston and prepare the workforce of this city’s future
• Improved professional development and training for local educators and non-profit leaders
• Research and collaborative relationships in Asia and Latin America
