The beginning of everything

Page 2: The beginning of everything

The solar system was created 4.6 billion years ago .

Nicolas Copernicus came up with the sun as the center of our solar system theory.

Isaac Newton came up with the theory that inertia and gravity helps keep planets in orbit.

George Gamow came up with the Big Bang Theory.

Page 4: The beginning of everything

Exploding supernova created by a nebula created dust particles.

Those particles accumulated together by gravitational pull.

Those particles and gravitational pull eventually flattened into a disc.

It was spinning around a dense cover also known as the solar system.

Electrostatic forces or sticky carbon coatings made dust particles.

It made them stick together to form rocks.

Gravity caused these rocks to come together eventually creating planets.

Creation

The solar system consists mainly of the average star known as the sun.

The 8 planets Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus.

Consist of

8 planets

Satellites

Asteroids

Meteoroids

Moons

Sun

Consisting Of

Page 6: The beginning of everything

Mercury is made up of rock and it is the first planet from the sun.

Its average distance from the sun is 58,000,000 km and its average diameter is 4,878

Mercury rotates counter clockwise and it takes .24 earth years to revolve around the Sun.

Even though it is the smallest planet, it weighs as much as Earth.

Venus the second planet from the sun is made up of rock.

Its average distance from the sun is 108,000,000km and it is about 12,104 in diameter.

It also has an average temperature of 460C and Venus rotates clockwise. It is Earths {twin}

Its atmosphere is 9 times greater than earth.

Earth which is the third planet from the sun which is currently the only planet yet that sustains life on it.

Earth is also made up of rock and the average distance from the sun is 150,000,000km.

Its diameter is about 12,756km and its temperature is about 15C.

It rotates counterclockwise

Takes a year to make a complete revolution around the sun.

Earth

Mars as we all know is the fourth planet from the sun and it is made up of rock.

The average temperature is 46F and the diameter is about 6,794km and it is 228,000,000km from the sun.

Mars rotates counter clockwise and it takes 1.9 Earth years to make a complete revolution around the sun.

It is red-orange

Jupiter is the fifth planet from the sun.

Diameter 142,800km.

Average distance from the sun is 778,000,000

It rotates counterclockwise

It is also the largest planet in our solar system

It is also a gas giant

Has a radius of 69,911km

Jupiter

Saturn is the sixth planet from the sun.

Radius is 58,232km

Distance from the sun is 1,433,000,000km

It is a rock planet and its temperature is -288F

It is the second largest planet in the solar system.

Saturn

Uranus is turned over and rotates on its side.

The only planet that does this with a similar tilt as the sun.

Radius is 25,362km

Mostly made up of gas

Average temperature -200C

It is also the 8th planet from the sun

Uranus

Page 13: The beginning of everything

Diameter is 49,500km

Color is kind of blue

It is primarily made out of gas.

Average temperature is-353F
