SOUL SURVIVOR OUTDOOR Soul Survivor Outdoor (SSO) was busy during 2018. We hosted 400+ active duty military service members at rock-climbing/rappelling, skydiving, mountain biking, and sailing events throughout Southern California. Another 4,500+ active duty attended suicide awareness, resiliency and spiritual fitness events; 405 prayed to receive Christ at our spiritual fitness discussion in October at the Marine Corps Base at Twentynine Palms. Nearly everywhere we went senior military leaders asked when we could bring our unique program of integrating faith and outdoor adventure to their units. SSO met with the commanding officers, chaplains, and leaders of 1st Maintenance Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines, Combat Logistics Battalion 5, Combat Logistics Battalion 7, The Marine Corps Communication Electronic School, Marine Wing Support Squadron 374, and Wounded Warrior Battalion West. These leaders represent nearly 10,000 Marines & Sailors at Camp Pendleton and Twentynine Palms. We’re hitting the ground running in 2019 with events at Joshua Tree and other locales throughout the year. Attend an event to see firsthand how God is moving with active duty military. We can also use help developing corporate donors like ViaSat and others. Visit www.soulsurvivoroutdoor.org or contact Rick Wolf for more information at 619-840-2054. Survivors value safety, health, education and economic development, counseling and social and spiritual support. Survivors are equipped with the tools and care to heal from their trauma and lead happy, healthy, and productive lives.

4. What have been our results?

In 2018, we provided aftercare services to 174 survivors of human trafficking. 53 survivors graduated from our aftercare program. 123 survivors and their children received comprehensive medical care. 16 survivors received legal aid and 15 trafficking cases are currently under investigation. We have a 95% success rate in preventing revictimization. Willow is saving lives, serving justice, and bringing freedom and hope to those who have been trafficked.

5. What is our plan?

Our plan is to continue providing restorative aftercare services to survivors while working to prevent further victimization.
