Against all odds on a gridiron in South Bend, Indiana, Daniel “Rudy” Ruettiger, in twenty- seven seconds, carved his name into history books as perhaps the most famous graduate of the University of Notre Dame. Today, he is one of the most popular motivational speakers in the United States. He co-founded the RUDY FOUNDATION, whose mission is to strengthen communities by offering scholarships in education, sports, and the performing arts.

Cristina Dolan is Co-Founder and COO of iXledger an alternative marketplace for insurance based on blockchain. As a former executive at a software company that offers award winning global multi-asset institutional trading solutions in the cloud, she is applying her knowledge of traditional marketplaces to the creation of next generation blockchain enabled marketplaces in combination with advanced technologies through digital transformation to create efficiencies and opportunities. Internet Pioneer and MIT Media Lab alumna, Cristina, co-founded OneMain, which grew to be the 10 largest Internet Service Provider. In addition to executive roles at IBM and Oracle bringing new products to market, Critina was CEO of venture backed MIT spinoff Wordstream. Currently, Cristina serves as the MIT Enterprise Forum of NYC Vice Chair.

Dr. Byrd has more than 25 years of experience as a former Fortune 500 operations executive and Fintech C-level executive (at Capital One, SallieMae, GreenSky, Currency, and other Fintech companies). She holds three advanced degrees (including an MBA, an MA in Organizational Development, and a PhD in Human Development). As a business school professor, Anne is privileged to teach a variety of graduate and undergraduate classes including business strategy, organizational behavior, economics, and marketing strategy. Currently, Dr. Byrd is the founder/operator of Extremis Leadership, an organizational improvement consultancy working with venture-backed social justice entrepreneurs who are disrupting the global financial services marketplace.

Patricia M. Voorhees, a director at The Alta Group, has over 25 years of experience in commercial finance. Her expertise focuses on forming captive financing companies, establishing vendor finance programs, and facilitating mergers and acquisitions within the commercial finance industry. Clients also benefit from her experience in business development, strategic pricing, business ethics, sales and marketing. After launching her career at IBM, Voorhees was an executive at GE Capital from 1996 to 2011, where she served in several key roles. In her initial position as vice president for business development, Patricia was responsible for establishing more than a dozen new vendor and captive finance programs. She then became managing director of business development for M&As, managing more than 14 acquisition originations. Later, she was the company’s general manager of Office Imaging Finance, leading a small-ticket leasing business with $5.5 billion in assets and 450 employees. She also was GE Capital’s strategic pricing leader during the U.S. financial crisis.

Alison Andrews Reyes, General Partner at 1843 Captial

Alison Andrews Reyes is a general partner at 1843 Capital, and a recent convert to venture capital after a career spanning 5 technology startups over 20+ years, principally in enterprise software. Having led several companies from founding to exit, she brings technical, financial, and operating expertise across several sectors including business analytics, web development, and cybersecurity. She most recently was COO & co-founder at Dezignable.com, a B2B technology-enabled service for commercial and residential design. Previously, she served as President, CEO, and co-founder of Vigilant, Inc. from 2005 – 2013. Ms. Reyes grew Vigilant over 7 years from a self-funded cybersecurity start-up to a 65-person organization successfully acquired by Deloitte in May 2013. She has also served in senior executive roles at e-Security, eGrail, Inc. and MicroStrategy, Inc. Ms. Reyes holds an AB from Dartmouth College in Engineering Sciences.

Justin Wheeler, Chief Product Officer of Currency

Justin cut his teeth in the technology business starting with a helpdesk job at Barclay’s Bank in the mid-90s, helping to install Windows 95 on PCs and training staff on how to use a mouse for the first time. Over the past 20+ years, he’s worked on Product teams at Overture/Yahoo, Spotrunner, SNAP, Instantly, SSI, and now at Currency. He also owns and operates an organic Black Angus cattle ranch and is an FAA licensed drone pilot.

Pablos Holman is a futurist, inventor, and notorious hacker. He helped create the world’s smallest PC, 3D printers at Makerbot, & spaceships with Jeff Bezos. Currently, Pablos is working for Nathan Myhrvold & Bill Gates at the Intellectual Ventures Laboratory inventing solutions to the world’s biggest problems. Pablos is one of the most sought-after speakers with an incredible ability to explain complex technology to any audience. He has informed and entertained audiences at world-renowned technology summits including the World Economic Forum at Davos. His TEDtalk has over 10 million views.

Nexseer Capital is an 18 year old, PE owned, middle market equipment finance originator located in Irvine, CA (Nexseer Capital was previously CG Commercial Finance).As CFO and member of Nexseer Capital’s management team, Sohini is responsible for driving Nexseer’s scaling efforts to create a ratable platform with securitizable balance sheet growth. She is also responsible for accounting, finance, and tax, and plays a meaningful role in shaping Nexseers’s technology. Previously, Roy was Co-Founder/CFO of Allsop MyR+A, a regulatory technology firm in London. Prior, she was the Chief Accounting Officer for Bridgewater Associates in CT. She is a CPA/CGMA. She earned her bachelors in Accounting from Franklin and Marshall College and her Executive MBA from NYU Stern.

Adam Devine is Chief Evangelist and SVP Marketing for WorkFusion, the leading AI-driven intelligent automation platform for enterprise companies. He leads market development, field marketing, brand communications, analyst relations, and serves as the company’s spokesperson. Adam joined the company in 2012 as WorkFusion’s first marketer, built a team and helped create the intelligent automation category. He previously founded two companies, served as the strategic planning leader at several of the world’s top advertising agencies and led product marketing for one of the earliest SaaS companies in the first wave of cloud-based software.

Jeff Hunter is a successful tech entrepreneur, business thought-leader, and strategic advisor. Ambika Sukla, Founder and Head of Morgan Stanley’s AI Center of Excellence

Ambika Sukla is the founder and head of Morgan Stanley’s AI Center of Excellence. The Center of Excellence is a team of AI and quantitative analysis researchers working on the most important problems in finance. Over the last three years, his team has helped transform core business processes in the area of sales & trading, research, investment management, wealth management, and risk. Ambika’s area of expertise ranges from core statistical models to newer deep learning algorithms. Tom graduated with undergraduate and masters degrees in mathematics from King’s College, Cambridge. He holds a Graduate Diploma of Law from the City Law School in London, and is a CFA Charterholder. A choral scholarship at Trinity College led to a brief stint singing, before a career in finance. With financial backing from the Managing Partner at Park Square Capital and other leaders in the corporate lending industry, he left Park Square in October 2017 to found CreditMint with Oxford doctoral graduate Zac Williamson. The company has engineered a novel security circuit on Ethereum to enable financial privacy for loans and bonds on the public blockchain. CreditMint is an EF and ConsenSys company, and Joe Lubin has recently joined the board of directors.

Steve Whelan is a partner in the New York office of national law firm Blank Rome, where he is a member of its 70-lawyer blockchain practice group and concentrates his work on equipment finance, asset securitization, energy finance, and corporate trust. He has co-authored articles on using blockchain in equipment finance, is regular co-author of the American Bar Association annual survey on developments in the law of leasing, and has served on the ELFA Board of Directors (2013-16). A magna cum laude graduate of Princeton, he received a law degree from Harvard.

Bart is a Partner for IBM’s Blockchain team. For the last 4 years, Bart has been conducting advisory services and practical implementations of blockchain solutions in the financial services domain, including formulating business case & roadmap, designing business and technical architecture, and building POC’s and production blockchains. Previously, he was a Sr Director for Capgemini’s Financial Services Business Unit focused on large scale business and IT transformations for the Financial Services Industry.

Michael Koenitzer is the Director of Business Development at Global Debt Registry (GDR), the asset certainty company. GDR built a registry using distributed ledger technology on the blockchain to facilitate better, faster, and cheaper securitizations. Prior to joining GDR, Mike developed a WealthTech practice in London, contributed to the expansion of the World Economic Forum’s Financial Services initiatives, and acted as an independent consultant advising financial services institutions and central banks on their credit risk issues. Mike began his career with Credit Suisse where he spent 20 years originating and structuring asset-backed transactions including warehouse facilities.

Charles Anderson is the Executive Director of the CEMC. He also is the CEO of Currency, where he has developed the leading technology platform to help make equipment financing simple and easy. Charles is an industry thought leader in online equipment financing who has helped hundreds of organizations move from theory to practice both from within the industry and as an external advisor. Charles was previously involved in mortgage banking and specialty finance at the nation’s largest mortgage banks. Before entering the equipment financing industry, Charles started his own mortgage banking firm and attended Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.

Scott is the Chairman of the CEMC and Executive Director of Currency. Over the last five years, Scott was founder & CEO of 180fusion, building it into one of the leading search engine marketing platforms before being acquired by Deluxe Corporation (NYSE:DLX) in 2016. Over the last two decades, Scott has an extensive background as a successful entrepreneur, senior executive and advisor in software, Internet and compliance industries serving high-growth tech companies. Prior to launching 180fusion, he took an enterprise software company (PSS Systems) from start-up to marketing leader before being acquired by IBM in 2009.
