Effortless Installation, Exceptional PerformanceStand Alone or Fully Integrated SystemVigilant™ is available as either a stand-alone instrument or part of a fully integrated, cost-effective, alarm and monitor system. It can be connected to a PC where full data logging and alarm summaries can be recorded for historical use. This is particularly useful where proof of actual opacity level and time duration is required as proof for local authorities or port state control.

Simple Installation Vigilant is supplied with a modular kit format consisting of a transmitter head (TH) and receive head (RH) and optional operator interface. The systems is so simple to install, even your crew can fit it!

Single PC ControllerOther systems require a PC controller per smoke monitor making surveillance of boilers and engines extremely difficult. Vigilant comes with a single PC controller providing you with great clarity in your results. The system records all smoke monitoring data according to location and time.

Self Cleaning for Optimum PerformanceBoth the TX and RX heads are supplied with an air-purge body which when connected to a high volume of clean low pressure air (a blower is recommended) will resist particle deposition on the lenses and further lengthen service intervals.

Rugged and ReliableVigilant™ has no moving parts, is of rugged design, and has an excellent reliability record. Maintenance simply involves cleaning the TX and RX lenses, which are easily accessible due to the latched head design.

RS485 Output to Central Control and Monitoring SystemThis advanced functionality ensures that all engine smoke, GPS and oxygen data is shared with the vessel’s central control and monitoring systems.

Oxygen AnalysisZirconia oxygen analysers monitor both smoke opacity for environmental reasons but it also monitors boiler efficiency, to ensure you always have optimum performance and fuel savings.

BenefitsLow maintenance (no moving parts or perishables, and easy optics access)• Simple installation and functionality• Programmable alarm contacts and 4-20mA output• Rugged construction• Utility software with full command and control features•
