In 2013, the Landfall Foundation presented checks to 71 Wilmington area non-profit organizations totaling $280,000. This distribution was the largest

amount awarded since the foundation’s inception in 1995. The foundation has now contributed a total of over $2.7 million to the local community.

The number of requests for grants continues to increase dramatically as other charitable entities cut their funding for local non-profits.

Legends of Tennis has been a staple event for Country Club of Landfall and the Wilmington community. Headlining players have included nine-time Grand Slam

winner Monica Seles, five-time Grand Slam Winner Rennae Stubbs, and three-time Grand Slam winner Tracy Austin, who have helped raise more than $65,000

for local non-profit organizations.

Last year over 40 Wilmington-area, high-end, merchants participated. They brought a fabulous variety of items including toys for all ages, home décor

and accents, fine and costume jewelry, holiday decorations, art work, and men’s and women’s clothing -- 20% of all sales for the evening were

donated to the foundation.
