PHILIPPIANS 4:4-7

Philippians 4:4-7Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, 23-24Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 The One who calls you is faithful, and He will do it.

Some grumble because God put thorns on roses. Others thank Him for putting roses on thorn bushes.

Discontented, frustrated, anxious, rarely at peace, unaware of the beauty of nature, gift of friendship or presence of family.

Outward looking, kind, see the world with delight, wonder, don’t deny hardships but find joy and show grace to others.
