Hello everyone, today I would like to show you a furniture factory which is near my

house. This factory is not too large and there are not many workers but their product is desired

highly. I can’t wait to show you, so let’s go !!! (go inside the factory)

Wasun Supakitsada or Oat who is very kind and honest.

Question & Answer (talk with the owner of this factory)

Me : Why did you get started in this business ?

The owner : I love to create beautiful things and I think everything can be successful if you try. I create a good product which allows me to make money which I can therefore share with the local community. Me : How did you get started in this business ? The owner : First, I used to be an employee of Kanok’s Furniture Factory and my position entailed the production and control of built-in furniture. I stayed at Kanok’s Furniture for about 3 years and I thought to myself that this is not too hard to establish a factory, so I resigned from Kanok’s furniture and started my own business.

In the earliest stage, I had only three helpers. Also because I looked so young, sometimes customers didn’t pay me my money after I finished their projects. This was very difficult for me at the time.

One day there was an American customer and his name was Frince. He told me he

wanted to build a home for his Thai wife. He then told me he would pay me 4 million baht when I

finished the project, so I felt very happy at the time. After I finished Frince’s house, Frince told

others about my skills and after that many new customers came to be to build their house or

furnish their condo for them.

I had a lot of work and I thought this was too much so decided instead to just have a

small factory. So the factory got started.

Me : How long have you been in business ?

The owner : I worked for another firm for 3 years and have been an entrepreneur for 16 years

which is 19 years total.

Me : How does a customer place an order?

The owner : I have an agent who contacts me for many customers but it is also possible for

customers to contact me directly as you know because I helped you build your own bedroom. (

I will show you after the interview)

Me : How do you get your product to the customer?

The owner : I have a van to deliver but sometimes it is not large enough for big contracts so I

have to rent a larger vehicle to deliver my customer’s new products.

Me : What are you the most proud of?

The owner :Umm, I am always proud of everything I do but if I had to select only one project, I

would maybe choose the one I did for Miyabi’s restaurant which is a famous grill buffet

restaurant. There are many branches in Thailand such as in Central Ladprow, Promenada

Chiangmai, Imperial Sumrong , etc.

Me : Ok, thank you very much for this interview, can I take a tour of your factory ?

The owner : of course !

allow outsiders to come in but this is for your education, I allow you in for this special

case.

This is the oldest helper. His name is Mr.Prajuk who is very kind and careful.

Mr. Wasun said, ‘ almost all factories always have fish because fish are a signature of wealth.’
