Test uploaded powerpoint slides

Slide 2 I figure that if at least two of these slides

work, any number of them will work. The slides after this one will detail how to get a slideshow up and running

Create a power point presentation Make sure you save it as a .ppt file. If you’re using powerpoint 2007, and save it

as a .pptx or whatever the new version is, the upload won’t work

Get an account Go to www.slideshare.net and sign up for a

free account

Once you have a free account

Browse for the slideshow Find the file. It can’t be open while you

upload it, or the upload will fail. This is never mentioned in the documentation, but I tried getting it to work for like 20 minutes before figuring out that was the problem

Once it’s done uploading, it will look like this. Give it 5 minutes or so.

Click on the button next to the ‘embed’ field

click on customize Click on wordpress. This gives you the

shorthand code to embed the presentation into a wordpress blog. Copy that code and paste it into a wordpress blog post

That’s all! If it didn’t work for some reason, please let

me know. I’d like to make this a standard part of classes, but can’t do that if it doesn’t work.
