To whom it may concern: 22SEP2012 I have worked with Terry Moore, TF Power’s resident electrician at Strong Point Deh-qobad, Southeast Maiwand District for the past 3 months. I write you this letter to describe the quality, quantity, and excellence of his work for the United States Army. My Platoon took over a Company sized outpost at the beginning of August 2012 mid way through our deployment. The responsibility of manning and maintinencing the large compound was a significant undertaking for my Infantry Platoon. No one has better facilitated the transition than Terry Moore. Work Ethic: From the day I first met him, Terry has been the hardest, most diligent worker here at the Strong Point. He is tireless in his efforts to provide adequate accommodations for my men. He will begin work before my men, and work long after we have returned from our patrols. There is no incentive for Terry to work this way other than the thanks of my men. He keeps the interests of my men foremost in his mind each day he works. Furthermore, Terry himself described to me his work schedule including Sunday as his day off. To this day, I have yet to see Terry take a Sunday off. Mental Agility: This is a term the military applies to senior leaders who have a flexible mind to provide solutions when numerous constraints are present. This adequately describes Terry. The example that most readily comes to mind is our containerized shower unit. This shower unit has remained static for the previous 4 months left untouched by the previous Infantry unit. I asked Terry to take a look at it and see if parts were salvageable. He looked at me and said “I can get this thing to work” and then described in part electrician, part plumber lingo how he would do it. He used scrap metal, scrap water hose, and his limited tools to facilitate the reconstruction and function of this shower unit. To this day, 3 months later, we have not had a single problem with the shower unit. My men went from water bottle showers once a week to warm water, stalled showers on a daily basis. As if that were not enough, Terry jimmy rigged a washer unit to the shower unit enabling my men to wash their uniforms on a consistent basis. Professionalism: On TF Power business cards I have seen the motto “Protect our Warfighters and Electrical Resources.” Terry has truly exhibited this slogan during his work here at Deh-qobad. Through his selflessness towards his own comfort and the sacrifice of time and effort he has made to accommodate the needs and desires of my men, Terry has not only protected the Warfighter, but allowed us to complete our mission with higher moral and greater excellence. I could not think of a better, more competent individual to represent the TF Power Company to the Soldiers of the United States Armed Forces. With all respect I would recommend Terry Moore to larger, more difficult jobs and problem sets and would trust him to complete any assigned task. VR, 1LT SHEAR, DANIEL 3PLT BCO 4-23IN SP DEH-QOBAD

Ma'am I would like to take the time to express my gratitude for all the help your husband Terry Moore and his partner John Jones has done for Bravo Company 4th Battalion 23rd Infantry Regiment. They have been their since the beginning of our deployment helping supply electricity and water for our facilities. We are all very great full for all the packages containing shower heads, plumbing supplies, guerrilla glue, 1.5 PVC fittings, duck tape, electrical tape and 90 and 45 degree L's. Our Company is located in some of the last Strong Points and Combat Outposts that remain on the fringes of Kandahar Province Afghanistan. When Terry Moore and John Jones learned that the pipe that supplies water from our well to the showers had broken he informed me that he contacted the Elk's Lodge #2644 in Eureka, MO. to see if they could help. With in weeks we have received several packages containing plumbing supplies and candy for the holidays. I cannot express enough how much we appreciate the plumbing supplies allot of the items sent are not in the Army system so unless we receive them from and outside source it is very difficult to acquire them. The work that Terry Moore and John Jones perform on a daily basis is beyond words they have helped me change out numerous generators, establish an electrical grid on three pieces of tactical infrastructure, to include Patrol Base Magat which was our Companies hardest won patrol base. I never heard them complain even during numerous small arms fire and rocket attacks on the patrol bases they always strived to ensure the Soldiers had the best quality of life possible. Without their help we would not have had some of our facilities running at this time. Lastly without the generous donations from Mark Schmiedeskamp and the Elks Lodge #2644 we would not have running water for our laundry and showers on both Combat Outpost Azim Jan Karez or Strong Point Deh-Qobad. Myself and my Company Commander 1LT James Carite as well as all the Soldiers of Braves Company 4-23 IN extend our gratitude for everything you have donated to help us during our deployment. Very Respectfully Robb, Ian A. 1SG, USA

here from Task Force Power. As the commanding officer at Patrol Base Deh-qobad, I have worked hand in hand with Terry Moore and Don Coddington since arriving in early December. These men are irreplaceable in an outpost such as this. They were integral in maintaining my unit as a functioning fighting force. Multiple times they went above and beyond their duties in repairing and training my soldiers how to operate and fix equipment. Never once did we have any issues that were not solved from the advisement of Terry and Don. I cannot stress how important they were in achieving the success that my Platoon has made in this short time. Terry and Don each took the time to install and teach electrical work as well as issues we had with our generators. It is widely known that this area isn't the safest by any stretch, yet these men worked everyday solving our problems without hesitation. Terry and Don are a prime example of the dedicated, hardworking contractors apart of your organization that we are lucky to have along side of us during our time here. I appreciate your time and hope that Terry and Don will be recognized for the fantastic job they have done and will continue to do here at Deh-qobad. I send a personal thank you from my soldiers and me for continuing to employ such great men as a part of Task Force Power.
