“I am a professional baseball player who has been keeping my body in great shape my entire life,” Eli explained. “I always work out and have a healthy diet but, up until a year ago, had never found a supplement that really changed my body.”

Kids are full of dreams, such as becoming an astronaut, being an actress, or racing cars, but their dreams don’t usually hold much weight—unless that kid is Jordan Romero. At the age of nine, Jordan dreamed of being the youngest person in the world to climb the

Seven Summits. Now 11-years-old, Jordan is only two summits away from making that dream a reality.

In the past few years, Jordan conquered Mt. McKinley (Denali) in Alaska, Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa, Mt. Elbrus in Europe, Mt. Kosciuszko in Australia and Mt. Aconcagua in South America. He broke the age records for three of those mountains, stunning the mountaineering community in the process. Jordan now only has two more mountains to climb before shattering the record as the youngest person to reach the highest peak on each continent.

These summits require incredible athleticism, technical climbing skills and, according to Jordan, Synergy products. He takes a drink of Mistica first thing in the morning for an added boost throughout the day.

“It sets my day straight and makes me feel good,” Jordan said.

Meanwhile, ProArgi-9 Plus is his new secret weapon for the actual mountain climbs. The largest mountain in the world outside the Himalaya is Mt. Aconcagua in Argentina. With #5 of the 7 Summits complete, Jordan is setting his sights on #6, Mt. Vinson Massif in Antarctica. He plans on conquering the mountain in December 2008 and will then begin rigorous preparations for Mt. Everest.

Jake would know. At 20-years-old, he is one of the best young riders in the country, placing third at the U.S. Cycling National C h a m p i o n s h i p s U23 Criterium last year and turning pro this spring. Success against such prestigious competition requires

an intense training schedule as well as a fully booked racing calendar, so a few years ago Jake began searching for nutritional supplements that could aid his recovery.

At 6 feet 8 inches tall, with huge arms, wide shoulders and an incredible amount of athleticism, Scott Brumfield was destined for a life in football. He followed that path with much success. An All-American during his college career, Scott signed with the

“Winning tough races is always exciting, and competing against great athletes always keeps things interesting,” Nick said. “But my highlights are definitely both times when I was selected to go over to Europe and race at the highest level.”

It’s easy to see why Nick was chosen to represent the United States in those international races. The race podium is this 18-year-old’s second home, having been there dozens of times throughout his racing years. All of Nick’s hard work seems to be paying off, but he is the first to concede that racing at such high levels takes a major toll on your body. This makes good nutrition crucial to success.

“When you’re training hard and racing hard you need to fuel your body properly. I’m constantly monitoring what I’m taking in and trying to get all the nutrition I need. Every little thing counts and any extra edge you can get is huge,” Nick explained.

The son of a successful baseball player and coach, Cale grew up around famous ballparks. His dad would bring him and his brothers along before the games so they could spend time together.

“We would run wild before the games,

hanging out with the players and racing around the parks,” Cale remembered. “That was the best atmosphere to grow up in. It was so much fun that I naturally wanted to do it forever.”

As he grew up, Cale did all he could to achieve his childhood dream. His hard work paid off as he was named a high school All-American, selected to the SEC All-Freshman team, and offered a record breaking deal with the Detroit Tigers. Cale knows he couldn’t have achieved so much without the proper nutrition.

“Baseball is such a grind day after day that your body can really get bogged down,” he explained. “Taking care of yourself with the right supplements and diet is the only way to make it through a whole season.”

Even as a baby, if there was music playing, Ashly DelGrosso Costa was dancing. “I guess dancing is in my blood,” Ashly suggested. She began taking dance lessons at age three and by high school she was dancing eight hours a day

Ashly won many amateur competitions before competing professionally. In 2005, she was invited to join the original cast for ABC’s hit TV show, Dancing with the Stars. Ashly placed third in the inaugural season with partner Joey McIntyre from New Kids on the Block. She then paired with rapper Master P in Season Two and actor Harry Hamlin in Season Three. During this time, Ashly also starred on the popular Dancing with the Stars: Cardio Dance DVD with Kim Johnson and Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

Being a professional dancer and working with the TV show is physically demanding, so Ashly began looking for nutritional supplements to keep her health in peak condition.

“With dancing, our bodies are our tools and if we don’t have the proper nutrition for that tool, we won’t be able to perform at our best level,” she explained.

“As an athlete, you’re acutely aware of how nutrition affects your performance,” he explained. “You have to take care of your body to get the most out of your life. Proper nutrition and exercise are a huge part of that.”

Jason’s attention to proper nutrition paid off in his athletic endeavors. In 1986, he was selected as a first-team NCAA All-American and also won the Outland Trophy, which is awarded to the best interior lineman in the country.

These honors led to a first-round draft pick and eventually the opportunity to play in two Super Bowls. Jason was with the Cincinnati Bengals when they lost Super Bowl XXIII but soon afterward won Super Bowl XXVI with the Washington Redskins.

“Winning the Super Bowl was incredible,” he said, simply.

With only four racers, the Steven K Sports National Professional Racing Team is small in number but powerful in skill. They have made a name for themselves in the pro sports world and continue to prove that they are a force to be reckoned with. The California based quad constantly tops the charts; they have been the #1 ranked pro mountain bike team in the state five years in a row!

This tight-knit team began with cycling races in 1990 and has since expanded to compete in many sports including running, kayaking, swimming, and snowshoeing. The team also balances a business side that incorporates team management, marketing, and product development. But, true to their roots, biking is where they shine. They compete across the country, and two of their riders were part of the World Team in 2004 and 2006.

“Our team goals are to win every race we enter and to increase the growth of mountain biking with trail maintenance and cycling clinics,” said Steven Kinney.
